The candidates who failed only in English = 100% - 75% = 25% The candidates who failed only in Mathematics = 100% - 65 %= 35% The candidates who failed in both subjects = 15% Therefore, total failed candidates = 25% + 35% - 15% = 45% And passed candidates = 100% - 45% = 55 55% of the passed candidates is 495 100% of the passed candidates is 495 × 100 ÷ 55 = 900 ALTERNATIVELY Candidates who passed only in English = 75% Candidates who passed only in Mathematics = 65% Candidates who passed in both subjects = 100% - 15% = 85% Therefore, the passed candidates = 75% + 65% - 85% = 140% - 85% = 55% 55% of the total candidates is 495 100% of the total candidates is 495 × 100 ÷ 55 = 900 VEDIC MATHEMATICS 4) Compliment of 64210 1) Since the last is 0, we just bring it down. Why do we do this? Is If we subtract 0 from 10, we get 10, So we will write 0 and carry over 1. Then we subtract 1 from 9 to get 8 and add carried over 1, and we got 9 So it's convenient to bring the 0 down and Take take its next digit (1) as the last digit (2) 10 - 1 = 9 ( 1 becomes the last digit, so from 10) 2) 9 - 2 = 7 3) 9 - 4 = 5 4) 9 - 6 = 3 Compliment of 64210 = 35790 That's 100000 - 64210 = 35790.
