Here is a practice track of Kassa with ballet rather than traditional dunduns. It includes two djembe parts, a traditional sangban part, and the ballet dunduns. Kassa is a popular rhythm from Guinea, West Africa. It is played while men harvest or walk to the field. It is also played to celebrate the harvest.
If you would like for it to be faster or slower, you can change the tempo incrementally by going to settings, playback speed, and custom (up top).
You can learn the parts included here from straight from the source: master drummer Fara Tolno's Rhythm Reference Project (www.rhythmreference.com/) and Djembe Guru (www.djembeguru.com). If you like what I'm doing, you'll love what he's doing!
That being said, you can use other parts learned elsewhere. There are lots of different ways to arrange Kassa.
I did this track and many more in response to the social isolation related to COVID-19. I had no one to drum with, and I figured others were in the same situation.. You’ll find lots of other practice tracks on my RU-vid channel.
Enjoy!

Great! I am glad the videos are helpful. It's been a while since we've drummed together. Once it's warm, we should do another York Redoubt session. We've been having a great time on Wednesday evenings too. You're welcome to join us anytime!

Slaps and tones could be more clear and sharp, sounds a bit muddled would make a huge improvement on sound quality and recreational accuracy

Just recently I was introduced to an African drum nuance called a shofé. Now I'm interested in learning it. Do you have any videos to introduce the shofé?

Do you mean the same thing as echauffement? Echauffement is when you bring up the tempo and intensity, usually by playing all of the 16th notes (or triplet 8th notes/12th notes if it's in 12/8). You sync up with the rest of the drummers, then bring everyone up together. If so, no, I don't have a video about it.

its rather challed chauffé, because it comes from the french word 'echauffement' meaning to 'heat up something'. Its usually played in the end of a solo part to increase tempo for the next solo, or to go into a 'signal - break' or a 'signal - end' part

@@janosch7210 Thank you. I never heard of it up until recently so please excuse my improper spelling. This is the one thing that separates good drummers from great drummers. The group I'm with knows nothing about the chauffé. I'm just learning about it from my current drum teacher and even he does not know the correct spelling. I wish I could spend a month in village in West Africa studying with a master drummer learning how to "really" play the drum.

@@salimthebarefootsage8182 no worries. why not go there sometime? And for the meantime, there is a lot of stuff about djembe drumming on yt aswell. For ewxample: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EGkeIe03Bps.html its not the best video about chauffé i could find, but it kind of gives you an idea
