You know, I think this is a palette for people who have completely had their fill of Nude This and Nude That. All those pale and neutral colors are certainly available elsewhere to fill in as desired. If I didn't already have a lot of strong, vivid colors in other palettes or as singles, I'd definitely buy this one.
I love your videos! I really appreciate how you swatch and your honesty about the products, to even mention the distribution of the weight in the brushes was really nice. Your attention to detail is wonderful. Also....always love the kitty and the music you play while he pops up and down. :-)

I don't think the eyeshadow palette is for me. As a collector, I do. But practically speaking, I don't see myself using it. So I'll be practical and wait for a palette that I love. Ps. Gunna pass on this. Kat von d will be at debenhams in the U.K. In September and cannot wait! Love Sephora but shipping is sooo expensive. Cannot wait to get my hands on the concealer. Fab video. You have a very similar skin tone to me so I find your videos really helpful x

LOVE when you get new items and swatch, you are the best! This palette was really pretty to see swatched. A lot of palettes have the deeper reds and warmer jewel tones but it's hard to narrow down which is truly worth getting. I've been debating between the Modern Renaissance, the Buxom shadows and now this one. The struggle! lol Thanks for the video! :-)
I definitely have to grab the setting powder next! I picked up the white concealer and it's so perfect for lightening my undereye concealer - I have a couple that are too dark for me and now I can finally get some use out of them lol.

I just started using a face powder with SPF to set everything and I have noticed a lot less freckles on my face this summer! Thats a win for me because my freckles can become super overwhelming on my face! I started using a SPF power because of you Tara! Thank you for all of the great recommendations as always:)
Been eyeing the brushes for a while now but now that you approved these are really good specially the foundation & concealer ones I'll definitely considering them.

I was eye balling this palette the other day on Sephora site. The shadows look gorgeous when you applied them. I always expect some fall out with good shadows, so that's not a deal breaker for me. If they didn't have some fall out, they'd be too dry and most likely wouldn't blend well. Your eye look was beautiful! Great job!
This is right up my street, thank you for the review. I think I must be one of the few people who really likes the cardboard packaging. I don't care about needing another palette with it because, well, I have quite a few as does most ladies who watch makeup videos.
During the tutorial i noticed the shadows made you eyes look wrinkly for some reason. Its cool the way you lift your eyebrows after you invite us to watch the tutorials in every video. Its just one of those things that makes your programs unique. I like this palette and hope it goes on sale some day. Thanks for sharing. 😎
I prefer the cardboard over plastic. I created a great, rich look, with this wonderful palette alone. This is a palette to reach for when you want to step out of the usual comfort zone of makeup looks. I love this!
I just picked up the palette and if you don't spray your brush with a fixing spray before use they don't swatch well. The colors are buildable and the orange shade in particular is gorgeous.

Love the look you came up with. I don't have the palette and have been really tempted to get it, but I probably already have all those colors from different palette's. I will see if I can recreate the look you have using other palettes. I have the Modern Renaissance palette from Anastasia so I have the red. The green/gold pigment reminds me of Makeup Geek's foil eyeshadows. I definitely have Kat's shade and light palette.
Thank you for this video, Tara :) If you have to choose, would you take the KvD Foundation Brush No. 10 or the Marc Jacobs Face II? And what about the Concealer Brushes? The KvD Concealer brush No. 40 or the Conceal brush from Marc Jacobs? Are the KvD as soft like the Marc Jacobs?
Tara, if you like the shape of that second kat von d brush that you use to set concealer, you would probably really love the new wayne goss air brush. It is beautiful. I know you are a fan of his brushes so maybe you already ordered it but it's LE so I wanted you to know just in case. It's the closest brush I have to the suqqu cheek brush in terms of softness but it has a totally different shape.
I love the theme of this palette, I'm really into Egyptian culture and I have to get this just for that purpose I mean I have the Ankh symbol which is on the front of the palette I mean I have that tattooed on my finger, which if you or anyone else didn't know it's the symbol that stands for life. 😊 I'm obsessed with them, definitely have to get this! 😍
Yes!! And it was so cute how Tara pronounced Scarab as "Skah-Rob" instead of "Skair-uhb" or "scare-uhb". :) A scarab is a sacred large dung beetle in ancient Egypt. Kinda yucky to think about putting a dung beetle on your face, but I love how Kat always uses atypical words in all of her palettes. I can't take another "dusty mauve or light taupe". LOL!
Interesting palette. Reminds me of Nubian 2 palette by Juvias Place. I love Kat's other palettes but on my skin tone I had to build it up so I returned the palette... But I felt it blended beautifully... I may purchase one or two of those brushes though... I really enjoy your videos and your spirit...

This KVD palette is beautiful. The colors on your eyes look awesome. Loving the whole vibe of it. Because you do so well with your shadows, please do use the other bolder colors in that palette. I'd love to see it on you.
Will you be reviewing the Miss Fabulous shadow palette by Ulta w/ Jenny Fox?? It looks pretty but very hesitant just because it's Ulta brand so in not sure how it will be. Ps-love this look! Xx
Sigma makes two brushes just like those, they are the HD foundation brushes, a smaller one for concealer which I have and I love them. The Sigma ones look more dense than the Kat Von D ones. FYI. I'm sure they are less expensive too in case you want a dupe.

I have hooded lids too. I heard someone else using mac 24 hour extend eye primer (can't remember exact name but comes in a tube) just before you apply the lid shade and I swear nothing moves and transfers. You should try that
