Hi, I leaguestarted this since release. Trickster is the best ascendancy for it. In regards to cane of kulemak, it is a leveling item, same with replica dragonfang. These are goddamn good leveling items, it makes you feel like they are bis, which is corect for certain reasonings, but you can find even better alternatives. For example you can play a 2h synth sword or even a fractured and multimoded reaver sword instead of the cane. The difference between them is that cane always has more damage than the fractured 2h sword and 1-1.5 mil less than a gigabroken synth sword with +1 support gems implicit. May not sound like a big deal on paper, but that 1 bonus mil is crucial and also you can put hits cant be evaded on the synth sword. Or if you go with the fractured variant, you can put % cold damage instead of hits cant be evaded and stack accuracy alongside the % accuracy mod on the reaver sword ). I would say it's like a mix and match thing based on budget, but a key thing that cane lacks in all cases is accuracy. Accuracy is wasting points on the tree, which can be used on cluster points ( which is insane ). Also the low attack speed and slightly lower weapon range ( it's a warstaff ). For the amulet, dragonfang's 10% mana reservation allows us to get hatred + malevolence + blood and sand quicker into the build, which is an insane ability. And the damage is really high. However, a crafted amulet gives 1mil ish more damage and also energy shield + effect of non damaging ailments, which is a straight upgrade. The reservation loss can be fixed later on ( that's why im saying its a goddamn op leveling amulet, it already feels bis ). Or another thing you can do is equip a focused amulet, which straight up gives another 5 more mil damage at the cost of energy shield and effect of ailments ( which can be fixed later on ). So yeah, there are plenty more layers of upgrades out there. I main cold dot in general and this skill is basically the old build variant but more confortable, with more clear and with overall way more damage. I got 37/40 this league just with this skill alone ( im curently 40/40 ), did all t17 maps, feared and I didnt do ubers yet on this build ( since its just a dps check and im lacking it ). My pob rn shows 4.5 mil dps which is complete trash ( pretty much leagustart situation ). I played it with like barely any investment ( I have some gigabroken cluster jewels, but they dont actually scale corectly due to lack of good gear so they are pointless + a lot of other straight up flex things like tailoring orb on the chest...which is whatever honestly). EDIT: Sorry for the wall of text, but you can't really explain this in a few words, there are pros and cons to everything.
