The fact that the ending cutscene portraits are the only canonical close-up shots of how the character's faces look (Other than the Steam cards) scares me
My friend installed this game from steam for me a few days ago after recommending it for a week. In hindsight, this should've been the first sign that something is wrong since he insisted on installing it himself. The next day, I started playing. The plot was easy enough to understand. There are evil spirits, and I'm here to kill them all. Then, other characters started having dialogue, and I thought "huh, the writing in this game is weird." It's jarring in a way that I couldn't quite verbalise, and the story felt really clunky, but I thought that the evil spirits were some kind of metaphor. Maybe some trauma that the main character is dealing with? Maybe the inherent evil in our world? Maybe they're literally just evil spirits, and evil spirits just talk that way?? I didn't know, so I simply pressed onwards. I got into the circus, killed some more evil spirits, got into a meat factory that I was *certain* is a metaphor for something, and got to the final boss without suspecting a single thing. And then, I reached the ending. It turns out that the evil spirits were like people all along, and the main character got...work...?? In the meat factory?? Is this like, some kind of metaphor for the main character joining into the evil of the world?? Then, I looked up people explaining the story, and was so bloody confused. They were showing cutscenes completely different from mine! Talking about some kind of supersoldiers?? And then, I saw this video. Fuck me.
Me : okay this cheap dialogue-replacement is getting boring real fast. I appreciate the effo- Game : * Starts up the secret boss sequence. * Me : ... fine, I'll let you cook for one more round, what did you alter this ti- Game : * Shows the bombastic dragon sprite. * Me : SO THIS IS WHERE ALL THE BUDGET WENT!!!!
nah, the pure body horror that the real third phase haves ads so much to how terrifying the drugs they used in the war are, because it didnt look like something out of this world, it just looks so; wrong.
When the Katana Hero said "It's Kataning Time" I truly felt that. I cried so much that people named that river of tears I dropped something famous in Canada, idk what it could be.
While the retexturing job is genuinely impressive. A long with rewriting all the dialogue. Fuck you devs😂 this shit probably delayed the DLC by a lot and I can’t even play it on console
Fun fact: (pretty sure the community already knows that but spoiler warning anyways). That dragon fight is actually a censored version of the psychiatrist secret boss in the main game. To unlock it, you need to piss-off the psychiatrist as much as possible, which includes: 1°:Turning off the phone in his face 5 times in the begging of the first level. 2°: Always interrupting him until the 3rd level. 3°: Talking to electrohead until he gets shot, then confess to talking to him and refuse the medication. 4°: Kill EVERY soldier in the Mutual-Nil prison. (If the dossier says KILL 20 times it worked. If not go back and try again. You also will get the prototype key if you do this.) 5°: Say "Fuck you" to him before going to Chinatown. (You don't talk to him before going to studio 51 or the mansion.) If did all the above steps correctly, at the end of Bunker Pt. 2, instead of punching him and killing him with a rock, he will block your punch, take two shots of a green substance and proceed to become an Akira reference.
OK crackpot theory time : katana hero is actually an allucination that zero is going through because of chronos withdrawal, reliving the events of the game with a more childish perspective due to completly loosing his mind. at least thats what the dialogue at the end suggest
It seems that no one was interested in the teaser at the end. Since the DLC has already been released, I am more than sure that we are talking about Katana Zero 2
It’s real but only on the pc version for katana zero and is meant as a April fools dlc. This dlc is called katana hero but it has nothing to do with the actual upcoming dlc with katana zero
