I love how this level of the game is the only one in which zero doesn't put on his earphones, because the music that DJ electrohead is playing is good enough to be his background tune.
It's more than that; there is a *reason* why Zero always listens to music when he's on a mission. His visions give him a glimpse of the future, and the music's beat helps him keep track of what is happening/going to happen. Like : "Okay, on the second beat, that guy is going to shoot at me... And when the bass drops, that other guy will have his back turned so I can rush towards the door unnoticed". But yeah, Electrohead is playing some sick tunes nonetheless. A real shame he had to die, I bet he's in heaven with Strong Terry now, downing shots and trying to convince Saint Peter to replace the angels' harps with synthesizers.
@@NoelistAvenger Has this ever been confirmed? I like it, but the problem I have with it is that the music keeps playing while he is planning, making executing his plans to the beat not really efficient.
@@idlehawk9553 Well yeah, but everyone knows this since it's the main mechanic you gotta use to go through the first room of the mission. The other is a neat little secret that not everyone will get due to the fast paced nature of the game

Totally. i want a Katana zero 2. The music is so dope, the artstyle... it is like Hotline Miami which made artists like M|O|O|N great and introduced a (nearly) new genre of music. I dont know why but its always those 2D Games (or Isometric sometimes) that have the best music.
Without the context of the game, this music sounds that one music that you would blast if you hate your neighbor and rub in his face that you have a new pair of speakers.
Imagine John Wicks 4 - he has to kill someone in a night club and has to wear a bathrobe and only has a Katana lol... when that beat drops he fist bumping lol
lol I think everyone including me thought at first when we were told to not speak to electrohead: "he must be like a extremely good liar or somekind of thing to corrupt us". The only reason they didnt want us to talk to him was becuz he knew about chronos.
Seriously? Protagonist works for some shady group, kills people on contracts and you really thought he was forbidden from talking to his target because said person is a good liar? xD It was immiedietly obvious he would know some things protagonist was never meant to learn.
I feel like a lot of people including myself didn't trust the psychiatrist at this point and figured whatever electrohead had to say was something I wanted to hear
@@olotocolo You say that like it's far-fetched, but I'm pretty sure that's a plot detail a quite a few other games and media. The target being silver-tongued and manipulative; it's been done at least 5 times in the Star Wars franchise alone.
@@RatBagger The funniest part is the gun glow like the katana when you get it after talking to V or before fighting Mr Kissyface. so you expect its a new real weapon, but... no x)

Just beat this incredible gem last week. Even got to see the real final boss. One thing I really have to give the game praise for is its music, really great at setting the tone of each scene or level.
For some reason when I hear this music, it sounds strangley nihilistic and sad. Like you can feel the bustle of a cyberpunk-esque city scape and the murder and criminal forces mixed in with every day life... I'm definitely looking too far into this but God damn it I'm gonna interpret this song as such.
This style could be done with pixel art, but my guess is that it would kinda limit the audience since not everyone is up for such vibrant and bright colors during a whole game, which is understandable
my heart sunk when strong terry's friend ran on-screen and was upset. my heart sunk when the new skinny ricky said "I can't wait to tell Strong Terry about this!" my heart sunk when strong terry's name was on the news this is my favorite level
