About Lawrence
Larry Berger, PhD, has been developing a philosophy of attention for many years over the course of his academic career. He was formerly a business school professor at the universities of Iowa and Pennsylvania, after which he decided to engage in philosophy full time, teaching philosophy at Marist College and Montclair State University. He has published a number of articles on the philosophy of attention and is working on a book entitled "The Politics of Attention and the Promise of Mindfulness", in which Eugene Gendlin’s A Process Model plays a central role. The presentation discusses The Hermeneutical Circle from his upcoming book.

Katarina Halm, MA, CFT, GCFP, received her M.A. degree from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology with a thesis on Resonance and Dissonance in the Learning Process. A Focusing teacher and Feldenkrais® Practitioner, she is dedicated to furthering the Feldenkrais Method® with Gendlin’s philosophy. The October 2022 PolyVagal presentation will develop themes from A Sounder World w/ Sounder Sleep System™ , Rolling with Possibility, Attuning to Natural Process Action Steps, and Horizons of Understanding.

The Felt Sense Polyvagal Approach to Trauma & Addiction Group is a place for you to explore with others, through a polyvagal lens, the experiences of trauma and addiction. We are focusing on understanding addiction through the lens of the nervous system, as an adaptive response to maladaptive environments. This group is growing in leaps and bounds indicating a hunger for change, for the kind of transformative change that polyvagal theory brings us. The group interacts online in the Polyvagal Institute Community on Mighty Network. Once every few weeks the group meets live on Zoom for an hour of exploration and discussion with a guest presenter.
