Spoiler: The show will continue to be terrible, and the show will continue to bash Sophie for choosing her career over her toxic and emotionally abusive girlfriend Kate.
@@9751matt There’s no need to spread hate and waste time on something you don’t even like. This is a Batwoman channel and if you don’t like it, feel free to leave and take your negative comments with you.
@Angel Rose Hernandez Snoopy123 Speaking as someone who has actually watched the show, clearly you haven't seen 90% of the Kate and Sophie scenes. Most of the talks they have are just Kate emotionally abusing her ex Sophie for choosing to keep her career and saying she's not gay to the army when Sophie is not well off and Kate's family is super rich. Kate's an inconsiderate asshole to Sophie almost every chance she gets, and tries to make Sophie feel like complete and utter crap as if Sophie was in the wrong. Was Sophie supposed to give up her career for someone like Kate? Kate isn't worth it in the slightest. Sophie went to Kate beforehand about her issues with coming out as gay to the Army, that her parents were homophobic and she needed this career, Kate completely ignored and just insisted they do it anyway. Kate's an asshole, everyone knows it, and Sophie can do way better then an emotionally abusive person like Kate. And the worst part is the entire show gets in on it! Mary abuses Sophie for her 'betrayal', Alice abuses her for her 'betrayal', Ryan abuses her for her 'betrayal', she's the shows emotional abuse punching bag. It's absolutely disgusting.
@Angel Rose Hernandez Snoopy123 "Kate is worth it they were in love" Oh that's a nice lesson for people. Abandon all your aspirations for someone you've fallen in love with even though they are extremely selfish and inflexible people like Kate. That's real sick. "that’s why she was upset that Sophie lied about them, then she finds out Sophie married a man just to make her family happy and it broke her heart again" Oh boo hoo, firckity hoo. We should sympathize with the abuser instead of the abused? Kate was the villain in the original breakup pressuring Sophie into an impossible choice to give up her career and her connections with her family just so she would stay with her. That's by definition toxic and abusive right there alone. And THEN when Kate confronts Sophie about it, does she say she understands she was put in an impossible situation? No, she calls Sophie a traitor, treats her like garbage, and dumps her. "Kate is allowed to be hurt by what Sophie did-" *-Stop that line of thought right there.* Now, keep in mind, I can understand Kate being angry in the heat of the moment. That's going to happen in bad situations. I am not demanding that Kate not have her feelings be hurt and to only think logically. A breakup might have happened even if Kate wasn't an emotionally abusive person. HOWEVER, both before and long after their breakup, she should of been sympathetic to Sophie's plight all the way. Yeah, Kate is gay and proud, but she's also filthy rich and has parents that don't really care whether she's a lesbian. Sophie was in the exact opposite situation. Kate is completely unsympathetic to Sophie's plight. And whatever Sophie does with her life after she broke things off with Sophie in the most toxic way possible, is none of Kate's business. If she has any issues, she should keep it to herself instead of being an emotionally abusive ex. Would you follow Kate's example and be an emotionally abusive ex? I know I wouldn't. "The only reason Sophie didn’t come out was because she was afraid to come out because of homophobic people and because Kate’s dad talked her into staying." So Jacob, who cares about Sophie and her being able to have a good career and a good life, talked Sophie out of taking the advice of her emotionally abusive and rebellious daughter, and assured Sophie that he knew the higher ups at that training camp well enough to know they were homophobic enough to kick her out. Heck it was probably Jacob that negotiated with their superiors that if Sophie and Kate signed the papers, they would be kept in with no backlash at all. So, beyond the forced plot of Kate not being able to stay professional, straight or gay, in public training camp, and that army training facility being led by a complete homophobe, how is Sophie's choice and Jacob's advice a bad thing at all? Answer: It wasn't. It was a shitty situation because of the cliché homophobe plot, but Sophie made the right decision. Kate didn't care about her plight, Sophie wanted to keep her career, Jacob warned Sophie that Kate's excuse that 'they won't kick us out' was incorrect, and Sophie made the decision that allowed her to keep her career and hoped Kate would understand given the difficult situation. Kate instead was completely unreasonable about it and kept that unreasonability and selfishness for years non stop. "And she is not selfish she literally let go of Sophie when her and “Batwoman” where together because she loves Sophie." (sarcastic voice/) Yeah, she emotionally abuses Sophie constantly as Kate Kane to the point where Sophie is so emotionally guilt ridden she breaks it off with her non abusive fiancé, regardless of whether he was a beard or someone she connected with emotionally, and then "Batwoman" swoops in to court Sophie. And Kate only breaks it up with Sophie as Batwoman, not because of how heinous a method to get in Sophie's pants again was, but because of the BARE minimum love for her and not wanting Sophie to die because she's dating Batwoman and too many people, including Alice, know Batwoman is Kate. Newsflash, many abusers do actually think they are in love with the object of their affection and the object of their abuse. I'm not saying Kate is so vindictive she doesn't care if Sophie dies or not, but that doesn't mean she isn't a horribly emotionally abusive person.
Ruby? Isn't she the girl who can barely act, and who quit the show because the writing was so unbelievably horrible she no longer wanted to be associated with that crap?
@@9751matt Regardless, I miss her... as a fan I respect and support her decision, so much so that I've never seen Season 2 or know what's going on, if there isn't Ruby, I don't see it...😔😔
They could have at least asked ruby rose to do the voice over for her letter at lease so we could hear her one more time since that’s basically her leaving because it sounds different with Whoever was reading it besides her.
Call me crazy but this still hasn’t changed anything for me.. Wallis is an amazing Kate Kane .. Sophie is going have her relationship throughout the show.. Love other people through the show .. She will never forget Kate … “ love has no limits “.. There break up song …that is not really a break up song.. The power of love and it’s ability to bind people together and overcome all odds..
I like the Ryan character but I also liked Ruby as Kate and Kate and Sophie's chemistry! Is it just me or was it weird hearing Ryan 's voice reading Kate's letter to Sophie?
With kate not having her whole memories jogged... it would fit with her not going to go see alice in lock up before sge left for bruce. Or, she really believed alice deserved to be locked up..like she put her there.
