yea i don't understand what happened to Michael and the story, he was non existent in the 4th movie, and in the 5th movie it seems like he's also a non factor, i don't know what this is about, weather they are not working with the actor Scott Speedman or they don't want to write a story with michael in it, etc but i think hybrids have a key role in the story, don't know why they are not incorporating it, i understand rise of the lycans was a prequel so no michael, then they fucked up in the 4th movie by having him appear for like 5 seconds, so i thought they'll finally expand his role in the 5th movie but it doesn't seem like it, they're going with the young vampire guy from the 4th movie as the lead male role
