I lost my son when he was 18 ! We played this at his memorial service and it means so much to me . I wish for joy after sadness and for everlasting life that I will meet up with him once again!

There are many versions of this hauntingly beautiful hymn, and Katherine's interpretation is among the best. It is arranged as a prayer with subdued musical accompaniment enhancing the voice and the prayer. I want to say Bravo! but the prayer impacts on my soul. My heart breaks for those affected directly by the unfolding tragedy in Palestine/Israel. Now, especially in that region, this prayer is needed. Though I'm geographically far from the arena of war, I pray that those affected will experience the profound truth of this prayer, regardless of faith, or lack thereof. Be blessed

We played this song at my grandmothers funeral she died in 2006 it’s still difficult 😥 not having her around I miss her smile her red lipstick her beautiful voice she was incredible

St Francis is my bestest buddy. We have walked through the fires of hell together. St Francis taught me how to love Jesus. I've been loving St Francis since the age of 8 yrs old. My brother died when I was 15 yrs old, he was my only sibling, 1977. 1980 I became a sober alcoholic. 2023 I lost one of my twin sons, he was 41 yrs old. I love you my dear old friend 💗🙏💒🕊👼👑
@@spmoran4703 I needed to hear from you. Through you, St Francis was speaking to me. I haven't heard from St Francis for awhile now. I lost my other son, the other twin. His funeral was last Tuesday, he was 43 yrs old. They died 1 yr and 4 months apart. This cross is too heavy for me to bear and I've asked Jesus to carry it for me for now. This is the hardest thing I've ever had to bear. I feel so fragile now. Please keep me in your prayers, for Jesus's strength. Jesus bless you and thank you.

I used to sing thiis as a soprano at a Catholic school when i was 11/12/13. Long story short, I got my wife to love it and I had it played and sung when she was killed, (funeral, not AT the time). Katherine IS the voice of an angel and I'm so grateful.. Thanks Katherine.

Me too! I've been listening to songs to prepare for a funeral. As I listen to this the tears are pouring down my face, but it is the most beautiful recording ever. The others are lovely too, but this is so pure.
My lovely wife Elizabeth passed away recently on 11th January 2024 after a brief period of illness. I miss her company and advise very much. I like to sing this song for her at her funeral to be arranged. World today is a troubled place. We are all desperately in need of peace and understanding.
