Thank you for an objective portrayal of the story of this dignified woman who suffered so much. I'm a great admirer of Queen Catherine and i pray she rests in peace.
Philippa, this was truly a compelling presentation - you distilled Katherine's tragic and ultimately doomed life story in the most sympathetic and sensitive way. Looking forward in anticipation to your next profiles! Subscribed. 👌👏👊🙏 PS: I noticed you avoided the most commonly spelt (and most likely 'anglicised') version of Katarina's name with a 'C' - would the Spanish spelling of her name with a 'K' have been more authentic to her time? I presume a birth certificate wouldn't exist to verify this.
24/09 How vile the successor Bishop of Rochester was who held her funeral service and lied about her even if he feared King Henry Considering Saint John Fisher also of Rochester was her Defender together with Saint Thomas More
What do you base your correction on? There was no standardised spelling at this time, Katherine signs a warrant in 1513 'Katherin the Qween', Henry has a suit of Armour made with intertwining 'H's and 'K's, and the spelling 'Katherine' was chosen for her tomb at Peterborough Cathedral.
