Religion is about a relationship. In the case of the Christian religion it is about a relationship with Jesus Christ, God the Father, and the Holy Spirit. This whole talk of spirituality versus religion really goes way back to the beginning of Christianity and certain heresies. Bonus points if you look up the various heresies throughout the centuries and tell me which one spiritualism is.
You do not have to be Jewish to have the same Character as Jesus. Jesus wants us to abide in Him and He in us, matters not what your nationality is. Can folks see Jesus in you?! Praise God forever!!
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and interpretation of what faith or religion means to them. Practice what YOU believe, but don't judge others or call them names because they don't believe the same as you. Some of these self proclaimed Christians can be the most judgmental people on the planet. Not all.... but some. And I see why "religion" can turn some off. What you believe is a very personal thing and everyone has a right to believe what they want.
You are right and I agree with you 100% I would never argue that know what I judge anyone for their religious beliefs because I would want them to judge me I am very spiritual and that's all I have to say well I'm not a religious person and that's okay one might judge me and me too but it doesn't bother me at all because I talked to my Lord and Savior everyday and Jesus we're just lucky that we can wake up and sleep a lot of the day and thank our heavenly father in his son's name Jesus Christ. Milica Djukich oh believe me I know that too, only a couple of years ago I was praying, asking, Lord use me, well, be careful what you pray for, I came up against some tough situations witnessing wise, to atheists in work and out on the streets, but also in work an ex-Christian turned Muslim, those situations tested my knowledge on my faith more than anything, but was also a good test to see how much I could handle......., I’m not saying that in a boastful way either, cos I’ve still got a lot to learn, as all of us have 🙏🏻
Kristina that's not what she said. She said it was written from an "Eastern mindset". We are westerners, and to understand it, we need to look at it from an "Eastern perspective". The Bible was not written in English. In case you don't understand this, Yeshya (Jesus) was Jewish, and so we're ALL of the Apostles. The patriarchs were Hebrew. The Bible got it's texts from the Scrolls which were written down by Hebrew and Jewush scribes. English and Latin didn't even exist at the time
The bible was written by many people not a god. People who were ignorant to even basic scientific facts. It's so contradictory it can be interpreted whichever way suits and usually is.

Jesus did not preach against religion, He preached against hypocrisy in religion, particularly amongst its leaders. In fact, He said, ‘...The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.’ ~ Matthew 23:2-3 (KJV) The Lord commanded the people to follow the (Godly) religious teachings, but do not become pious hypocrites like them. Christ allows us to have a personal relationship with the Heavenly Father, especially because of the Holy Spirit who dwells in us, to help conform us into the image of Christ. However, He did not abolish religion. For example, taking communion in remembrance of Him is a wonderful religious experience. Yet, those who are living in (unrepentant) sin should not take communion. Jesus did say if we love Him we should keep His commandments. I begin to close with the following from James, who wrote, “If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain. Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.” ~ James 1:26-27 (KJV) Religion is about God establishing standards for us, to include defining our relationship with Him. Many who claim to reject religion in favor of a relationship are attempting to dictate to God how they will relate to Him.

There is a difference between believing in Jesus as the Messiah and professing Him as such. The Samaritan woman at the well believed and went to her village to profess she had an encounter with the Christ (John 4). Sadly, others believed and did not stand up for their faith in the Lord, which resulted in 2,000 years of hardheartedness: o “These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that He was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.” ~ John 9:22 (KJV) o “These things said Esaias, when he saw His glory, and spake of Him. Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on Him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.” ~ John 12:41-43 (KJV) Sadly, there are many “closet Christians” who say they believe yet do not profess Christ as their Savior and Lord. Many call Him Savior, for “fire insurance” purposes, but do not let Him be Lord over their lives. There are many prophecies pointing to the timing of the birth of Christ, such as in Daniel 9:20-27. It is sad when people are waiting for an opportunity that has come and gone. Tragically, because so many have rejected the real Christ, they will get what they desire, the antichrist.

Kathie talks a good story but she sold out to the worlds system a long time ago. She wouldn't give you the time of day, or even talk to you if you were just some random poor person on the street.

laynn 10 great argument for Lee Strobel, but we shouldn't depend on "educated" men to reveal the Father's Word to us. The Gospel is so simple that a child can understand it. If we don't believe after prayer and reading, we have no faith anyway. The western church (Catholics, Protestant) have corrupted the Word of YHWH, and the teachings of Yeshua. We need to get over these tax exempt excuses for religion and get into His Word ourselves through His original text

She plays both sides of the fence. She wants the fame, success and money of the world but claims to be on some 'higher quest ' to be close to God. The Bible says plainly, " ..do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God ? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world is making himself an enemy of God. " Jas 4:4 Some of her assertions are just plain nonsense. Who is this rabbi and what gives him such special insight ? In the end, just another book salesman, the both of them.
Israel is not the holy land. There was never a land called Israel. Israelites settling in a land that had people living in it doesn’t make it Israel. The whole of Middle East is holy because every single prophet of God lived there. That includes the Arabian peninsula like Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Egypt, and Palestine.

Actually, webster's defines it as "a system of faith in and worship of a deity". I do not "worship" my higher power. I don't even HAVE to have "faith" in my higher power. Spiritual is "pertaining to the soul or spirit". I pray and communicate with my higher power. I don't HAVE to do anything, and my higher power is fine with that.....no rules, punishments, etc.

I'm glad she finally retired she acted like she was a God and that no one would take her spot on that Today Show and I'm finally happy she's out of there that's not being sexist but I think they need to go back to the way news used to be when Larry King life used to run the daytime show and his night time show time to put a male news reporter behind the cameras so that way we can eliminate all this gossip nonsense that is going on TV nowadays the female news anchor reporters are too opinionated and caught up in their feelings and that's not acceptable just present The news with the facts and move along!

@ Chris Christie, She sold out to the worlds system for fame and fortune, that's why. All Hollywood media types do, they talk the talk, but never walk the walk. It would be in direct opposition to the media narrative that they push 24-7, which is in direct opposition to God, and his commandments. Would Kathie give up everything she owns right now and take up her cross so to speak and follow Jesus. Nope, not on your life because she has too much, average people would not be able to just dart on over to Israel on a whim and hob knob with Jewish fat cats and work out book deals while touching a wall for a photo op.
