I related to the loneliness after losing Frank, my husband died in 2000 and my children don't live with me and I still reminisce about how great my marriage and husband was. I fell stuck, and your comment on loneliness stuck with me. I will try harder to appreciate my beautiful home, my healthy children, my forever friends. I thank you for your testimony. You are an inspiration to me. This spoke to me when I was emerging from a dark valley in my walk. It came as I struggled to wait just a little longer, and I had to dig deeper into God's Word because there was a timing issue. I, too, am doing this on my own, as my extended family is far away. And I sometimes wonder if they care. Then I saw this and realized that whether or not anyone care does not matter. It is my daddy (Father God), Jesus, and the Holy Spirit -- it is their opinions that matter. Woww, I feel Kathy, I have 2 wonderful children and that was a gift from GOD! I went thru my ups and downs as she did, but I will never forget that the choices I made were my own and not GODS. I have all 3 of Kathie Lee’s recent books and look forward to reading them. I love your enthusiasm when you talk about your relationship with God and Jesus. I also had an unfaithful husband after 30+years of marriage. When I found out and he confirmed it, I thought about how you faced your situation with grace and forgiveness. I told him that I forgave him (after a day or so of intense prayer and talk with God). My husband has not ask for forgiveness from me but I gave it verbally anyway. He did go to reconciliation so I’m guessing he confessed to God his transgression. Our marriage is badly bruised but we are still together at 44 years of marriage. I feel God brought us together and as long as I can keep my “Eyes Upon Jesus”, God will continue to give me the strength to persevere in this life. God bless you,your family and especially that beautiful Grandson.

Kathie. I don't know if you read any of the comments....but like you I became a Christian through Billy Graham. It's been a remarkable walk these last 39 years. A mixture of joy and sadness but at the same time always knowing the goodness and the kindness of God. I lost my daughter 22 years ago and my wife two years ago. Daily I see His kindness towards me. Many times I have been broken and in tears, but God tells me," I know the plans I have for you.... and they are good plans to give you a hope and a future. Went though some difficult moments in my life this past two year’s. But like you said I need to look at all the good in my life right now and not dwell on what I Lost.

On October 8th, 2014 I lost everything. I mean everything, and during this time the Lord Jesus Christ put four little words in my mind. FAITH, STRENGHTH, PERSAVIRVANCE and OPTOMISM. These are the four words that held me together in dark times, and the four words I'm building my second God given foundation on. By the way I don't go to church, not since I was a child. I'm not baptised, I'm a great sinner who broke almost all the commandments, except one. Do unto others as you would like to be done unto you. When asked what my faith is, it is Evengelical Baptist. You are so Brave! Where I live there are a lot of elderly whose family/friends have passed on. This is a very quiet epidemic in our country. I do wish that neighborhoods would learn to reach out more in the spirit of giving and caring and not harm these people in any way..... So many are lonely, from all age groups. It may a good thing to be alone, due to so many users/toxic people who drag may drag us down and just try to connect with people who are doing positive things.

Wow, those words really touched me during this present time of depression. I just lost my job and have no source of income. It's not fun to feel lost in my mind, and blaming myself for all the wrong in my life. Thank you Kathie Lee for those words of comfort and e encouragement.

Won't it just be so glorious that we will spend eternity together with God??? Thank you for sharing the hard times. I am so sorry your husband is not here and I am so sorry you have had to go through the difficult times,. It shows that God is working in your life just like He works in the lives of so many people who are not well known, and when we come out shining like gold because we allowed God to use us and test us, then it is such a blessing to others...and I am one of the others. My husband has had an on again/off again affair with one woman for the last 15 years. I have often thought about leaving him, but the logistics of money, a place to go, etc. don't always work out like we want them to, so I have stayed with him and been faithful to him. I pray that someday I will see the fruit of this trial as it is still going on today. Thank you for sharing your testimony and I will pray that God brings good people into your life that will help you enjoy the good times and fondly remember days gone by.
