Honestly I believe that character’s were chosen on this dahil nga it’s not just a regular movie; I feel like everybody’s role is supposed to be off here. Yung ‘eerie’ na pakiramdam while watching. And honestly for me, it was perfect. Both the anger, hate, revenge, love and at the same time how kathryn changes to angry to almost softly breaking down. How both of them played the characters with this ‘eerie/odd’ energy. The characters’ energy in this movie never matches and that’s what make this set really good. I definitely observed that. Atleast for me, artist’s own perspective in the matter. But absolutely amazing! This set deserves recognition! A very well done! 🎉
Exaggerated or heightened dialogues are widely used in filmmaking industry and it can really work if the dialogue fits the theme and style the movie is trying to show and of course, if it's well-written.(plus, it's good for characterization) These dialogues/conversations would never happen irl but these are the ones that entertain us the most. I think the main problem here (aside from the script itself) is the casting, Dolly and Kath are great actors needless to say. But this is why "casting" matters, this is why "auditioning for the role" matters. You gotta find actors who will not only embody the characters but will sing the dialogue as well. A heightened dialogue can be a painful watch and tough to swallow if it's forced and not done well.

Not a good movie for me. There are a lot of plot twists that are not good when they were combined. Also, it's very predictable. Kaori being the spy, the attempted murder, the hitting-by-the-car scene. They should have focused on one plot which is Dolly's Mom being bedridden. However, that plot twist did not had an impact cause it was not even established in the beginning--no hint. Tapos plot twist after plot twist, after plot twist. Mapapasabi ka na lang sa dulo ng "Walang Kwentang Movie". Well, that's my personal opinion only. Sinasabi pa ng iba, "pang matalinong movie" lang daw. Lol. E kahit matalino, napapangitan. And Dolly De Leon seems like she's reading the script, di maganda magdeliver ng lines. Even Kath, no bs, but Kathryn's my fave. Siguro may binabagayan lang talaga tong role nia as Philo. I think Julia Barreto is much more bagay sa role lalo ung line na "She's a murderer, cause she's killing it."
exactly my thoughts. sana nagfocus na lang sa iisang plot point. daming dagdag na emeng plot twist sa third act ng movie. i also think they were really going for "good things happen to good people" plot, but i would've preferred a much darker twist at the end if kathryn's character were to succumb sa darkness ni mother after siya masaksak nung assassin tapos inalagaan siya nito. eh it was ruined knowing na philo hired the guy herself, then nagtataka na rin ako, parang wala siyang pake nung nalaman pina-hunting din ni mother yung hinire niya, like akala ko ba walang casualties😭

Love Kath, But the character she played was so depth that she shouldn’t be acting in it but instead embodying the character. For this particular movie, it was just strange. But it wasn’t just her, I felt the same way for most of the characters.
Just done watching this movie and i would say that this is highly recommended, diko alam bakit may iba na napapangitan or nakukulangan sa acting ni kath but for me it's good na nag t-try sya ng new kind of things specially she is use to act abt more like a "nice girl" or "romance" let's just appreciate her acting skills and also her cuz she did really well in this movie, and also the story is AMAZINGG like literally i was sad and happy at the ending because she didn't get her revenge/justice that she deserve but I'm also happy that, that bitch died at the end, also we Filipinos should be proud because i also heard that she went to korea to promote this/her movie, again I LOVE THIS MOVIE ❤❤❤

Didn't finish the movie. The main characters weren't matched with the actors playing it. Something was so off with Kathryn's acting here. Sorry. Cguro kung si Maris Racal or a yet to be discovered talent, the acting would have been believable or natural. I hope Kathryn could completely separate herself with the roles she had made before. There was this one scene on the movie where she was on the laptop talking to her best friend and the mood and acting felt like a scene of her movie with Alden. I hope hnd Po Ako mabash. Just sharing my two cents.
Love the movie esp Kathryn’s performance. She is actually the reason why I went out of the way to watch this movie when it was shown here in the US. Thank you Netflix, now I can watch this over & over again whenever I want.

was expecting for so much talaga kase trailer pa lang ang ganda na ng atake. pero for some reason, when my sister watched it parang hindi ko talaga makuha. i do understand the genre and all that stuff pero hindi eh. something is lacking talaga :( liked the outfits lang but that’s it. couldn’t even fixate my whole attention. it feels like napaka habang movie na nawalan ng direksyon. still, everyone did great. i just wouldn’t say na deserve ang hype.
Siguro kanya kanya lang talaga ng style/taste. May mga scenes would have been done better. Pero that's just me nit picking. Overall impression ko sa movie is wow, this is something different from our usual romcom movies dito sa Pinas! And I actually liked their acting. The story itself is poetic and may poetic justice sa huli. May subtle messaging sa mga scenes which I like. Yung mga little details na may symbolism is just 👌 ganda. Wala pa akong napanood na movie ng Pinas na may attention to detail na ganito example lang yung scene na nag aaminan sila ni mother ng "baho", when Philo was talking about her guilt and Mother was talking about hers, kung mapapansin mo yun lang ata (if I'm not mistaken) yung scene na pareho silang natural looking ang make up. It's almost symbolic of that scene na behind all the facade they both have that's their "stripped" version. Yung outfit nila nung final scenes when they were fighting. Both were wearing black but Philo was wearing black with white accent. Almost saying na she's not totally a goner, na may redemption story pa siya unlike mother who's just irredeemable at that point. Yung colors na ginamit sa scenes, yung mga dark moments dark din yung color grading. May red for anger and hate, and so on. The tattoo na = sign for equality, yung make up nila when its Mercy, you have a simple make up almost natural looking, when it's Philo you have a very heavy villain like look. And I could go on and on. Talagang pinagisipan ang movie na ito. Sadyang di lang talaga lahat ng audience ma -appreciate ito. It's a movie that makes you think. Pleasantly surprised with Kathryn Bernardo's acting di ako na cringe sakanya. Part kasi ng role niya yung "plastic" siya kay mother kaya gets ko bakit ganon. Yung change of expression from "plastic" to anger is good. There's definitely room for improvement but its a start. Madali lang kasi yung iyak iyak drama scenes that we're used to eh but to have depth sa character. Yung anger, frustratation, and desperation nakita ko kay Kathryn dito. Di naman pwedeng yung nakasanayan lang natin na mayaman vs mahirap story line na inaapi si mahirap tas iiyak and magdradrama lang. May depth yung character niya dito which I sooooo love. More films like this! It's not a perfect film but a good start definitely. Cinematography, costume design, acting, casting, story line, ang poetic. Lahat yun nakita ko. Kudos to the people who made this film 👏👏👏👏 bravo!

Kathryn kasi sumikat lang dahil sa love team. If she’s really good in acting, she’ll be able to deliver it whatever role it is.The problem in the Philippine film industry - catering to love teams. Love teams are given projects because they sell not because of their acting abilities but because of people’s illusions of romance and overrating it. Those with true talents are left behind; although they can act but because they don’t sell (coz they are not in a love team), they are not given chances to be main roles.

Those who find Kathryn cringe just prove that she nailed it 'cause that's what the character calls for (during the times she has to be with these kinds of people). You completely missed what the story is about if you didn't finish it.

I'll be honest hindi bagay ung role ni kb dito and i know she's a good actor but i don't see the character vibe sakanya. Saka the writing is boring. Ang mga role dpat kasi ni Kathryn is parang mga romance characters and main characters hindi ung mga matatapang tlga na role, Just my opinion lang naman .
kathryn is so one dimensional failing in both trying to pursue a dark character, a social climber, sophisticated lady, a professional. stick na lang siya sa patweetums. Dolly and Chie did a better job potratying different roles but the overall story, even as kamp, was lackluster. The fact that there's so much defense and justification on the comments section proves that the intention did not come across. If they wanted this to be a niche "kamp" film, they shouldn't have released it in a mass, commercial platform first. lol
I super love kath always. But my honest opinion, I didn't enjoy the movie as I was expected, I really try to understand what was going on, maybe I was too slow, but beleived me I tried although kathryn's acting here is phenomenal, but for me this type of genre doesn't suit her well, but still Im proud the she was able to step up out of her comfort zone in this movie.

Lovef the movie, whatever Nega comments, I believe they played well.. Critics to this movie are from looking at different perspectives... For me actors played well.. I also believed that other reactions coming from the experts were fair enough to say that it's a movie to watch.. This movie is for women.. How we are influenced by our parents or significant others in our life.. If things can't be controlled. God intervenes in the end..
it would be better kung ang gagaganap would someone like sue ramirez, maris racal or kim chui. I know how good Kathryn in her crap but with these, it looks no aunthenticity. The acts appeared so much unnatural. However, Kathryn did her best but still fail me(my own objective) to see her impactful moves. The feeling or the emotion for viewer/audience as myself seems to noticed not connecting her vocal acts to her physical moves. I'm a super fan of Kathryn but this time with this genre I will say it doesn't fit to her. My apology to my co Kathryn's fans regarding my views for this but I just want to be honest and fair to myself and to everyone.

One thing I’ve noticed with Kathryn Bernardo, she never ever chooses a woman for a movie bestie who’s prettier than her. And if they are prettier ala Gillian Vicencio, she makes damn sure it does not come out that way on screen. Kathryn would be wearing all the makeup and the pretty dresses with every hair in place whilst the bestie does not. I dare Kathryn to pick Kira Balinger for a bestie next time. I doubt she’d do it because unless Kira wears a sack over her head, no amount of make up even plastic surgery would make Kathyrn look anywhere near Kira’s beauty.

This is revenge not done right! Revenge should be satisfying, even though not fully but at least at some parts. And I am not talking about the acting of kath and ms dolly, it is the material they were given that wasn't solid.
