No airs & graces, no pretentious fakery... This is someone who is REAL. I love that about Kathy Burke. I love that she doesn't give two shit's what people think either. There should be more folks like her.
The speech to end all speeches. And if ever anyone deserved an award... Like the lady said: It's about fuckin' time, innit! And I love how the beginning of this looks exactly like the award fantasy Tom has in one of the episodes of the show.
Remember this was filmed back in 2002... the show originally ran from January 1999 to December 2001. Whether or not there was a live show like she said, i don't know, but i think all 3 series were filmed infront of live audiences.
I don't think so when some one makes a comment that implies they don't like something...it's always interesting to see what they do like....it's just you don't expect to find it in there favourites lol !
Sadly not. It just didn't materialise. While I absolutely loved the show it was a real case of you either LOVE it or really HATE it. There were no half-way houses and in the end I think the BBC just played safe and axed it in 2002. Shame about the Live tour never going ahead.
I love Kathy Burke, James Dreyfus and Jonathan Harvey and they should have done many more series of Gimme Gimme Gimme and I would have loved to have gone and seen the live show if it had happened. The gay press shouldn't have been bad to James as his character was ok, and the characters and the comedy was all tongue in cheek and Tom Farrell (James' character) was not a real gay person making gay people look bad. Kathy, a true Londoner like meself, innit? LOL
You went to the trouble of scouting my favorites to make a nasty comment. If I want a funny speech in my favorites what the hell does it matter. You had to point it out and insult me. Your livin in your own head mate. If it's surprises you tiny mind then great, but theres no need to be rude about it.
It was innocent comment and not meant as insulting at all....it was purely an observation....I think if you look at your post you're the one throwing the insults around....Nice to see they're giving the inmates access to the interenet though dear !!
I don't think so....she says ' I had a cab driver who said my wife's just like that character Pauline'.....then she says 'I say to her she's just like her....' Anyway I wont lose sleep over it but it would make more sense if she was talking about Linda :o)
