Shout out to Ms Kathy Kleiner She's a strong woman & survivor Ms Kathy don't give up hope share your story with us women & girls I'm sorry that Mr. Ted Bundy did this to you , the late Margaret Bowman & Lisa Levy my heart goes out to you
Interviewer lady was on her phone some of the time - when the camera wasn't on her, she probably was more! Very unprofessional, and "phubbing" to say the least (Phone snubbing) ;)
Great job, Kathy! You took his power back during the trial. He's dead. You are still here with us, thank god. A very brave soul. Thank you for sharing this inspirational and informative account. It is a rare thing to get a victim's point of view.
I think when it wasn't random he used news reports and flyers. Example did Flame lounge have a special band or ladies night? The retreat for Morman youth at Brigham Young. The Jazz Concert, the Cardio convention at Wildwood, the big events at Lake Sammamish. The events at Fashion Place Mall, I bet he either heard radio reports about event or read flyers. Some killings were random but sone he read or heard about stuff Dorm councileri needed see that way he could be where girls were gonna be. I even bet there was something at Kathy Parks college that week that doesn't mean it always worked out. But he could be where events were and increase his luck. That's what directed him to Jeb Stuart a flyer for Summer activities
This poor woman. Bizarre attack. He was a vicious man. But he was scared to die himself. The detectives who worked tirelessly to get him. Behind bars are the heroes in my eyes. Also this victim was a very strong woman to walk into that courtroom. Much like the manson case it wasn't about the victims it was about the perpetrators. They dominated the trials.
This woman survived lupus as a child, survived breast cancer as an adult and survived Ted Bundy as a co-ed! She should teach a class on resiliency. What an incredibly strong woman you are Ms. Kleiner-Rubin. ❤
Is she the one who had the rosary that father calloway says repelled bundy from the room. You know the one who promised her sweet old grandmother that she was going to pray it, meaning the rosary. All day and all night.
wow. I'm amazed that anyone could recover from trauma like that. I suppose part of it is that she seems to not remember much about the 'attack' I could understand, she was severely beaten, and I'm sure in shock or in and out of consciousness. I have watched Kathy Kleiner when on the witness stand in the Bundy trial, the only thing I didn't see was her 'staring him down'. A lot of our stories become embellished after many years. She seemed quite coherent and answered all questions very astutely. She is a brave and strong woman...thank God She Survived. ;)
It saddens me that her sorority sisters didn't gather around and support her. Shame on the Chi O's. :( This happened when I was in college living in New Orleans. It definitely made me more aware of my surroundings.
its strange she has this part about waking up and seeing him about to hit her and hit her. but when she was on the stand she said she was completely asleep and unaware of the attack until after
she said she was awakened when she was attacked..that could be clarified a couple different ways this new interview is also over 20 years after the incident so many she’s remembering things slightly differently
Victims going through traumatic experiences sometimes will add or misremember memories as a coping mechanism. It's the brain's weird way of coping/trying to understand trauma, memory loss, etc etc. If her stories don't always add up I don't think it's because she's trying to lie on purpose, her memory may be off or she remembered details years after the fact.
a FACE to the person who... is she jewish? Everyone knows teds face and his charm, we didnt get to see his killer side, the girls did. Somethin tells me shes on the money waggon.
