Thanks so much for watching!!! I'm not on social media but you can find more information about me and even add yourself to a mailing list on my website! Website: www.taylorbloo...
Not cold, your personality comes through in performance. A dedicated artist, so you do what feels comfortable to you. Even if I had the voice and the musical ability I wouldn’t be able to perform, so congratulations on doing as Neil Gaiman once recommended: Make good art.
I certainly wouldn't have said you seemed "cold" in the other videos. Your personality shines through when you perform. The little chat before certainly helps us get to you know though! A wonderful performance as always. Paul Simon's music fits your voice like a glove.
Certainly not cold at all. Focused! Thank you for taking the time to chat with us. I am always curious as to the motivation and story behind a musician's choice of cover or their originals. I look forward to seeing and hearing more in the future. Thank you for sharing.
I discovered you by accident on “the Sloop John B”. I’ve been a fan ever since. Your work brings me happiness. I wish you every success. You deserve it. 👍
hey, thank you for sharing your voice and music. i‘m going through a lot at the moment but watching your videos and listening to your music gives me at least some hope. so thank you :)
Taylor, just discovered your channel. Great rendition of this song. I've been a Paul SImon, and S&G fan forever, and it's nice to see the ongoing interest in this music coming from talented performers like yourself.
I hear the drizzle of the rain Like a memory it falls Soft and warm continuing Tapping on my roof and walls And from the shelter of my mind Through the window of my eyes I gaze beyond the rain-drenched streets To England where my heart lies My mind's distracted and diffused My thoughts are many miles away They lie with you when you're asleep And kiss you when you start your day And a song I was writing is left undone I don't know why I spend my time Writing songs I can't believe With words that tear and strain to rhyme And so you see I have come to doubt All that I once held as true I stand alone without beliefs The only truth I know is you And as I watch the drops of rain Weave their weary paths and die I know that I am like the rain There but for the grace of you go I
Thanks man, first time I heard this song..with my mother, on my old cd player..I saw her crying while the song playing...It's now printed on my mind I think :) Thanks for your playing, it inspired me to play it now ;)
I realized you posted this in 2020, but here's my feedback/request: Post the video with whatever intro/outtro you want to do, then post an excerpt of just the song performance. I'm very interested in hearing what you have to say about the song, but sometimes when I'm going to RU-vid just to play some music, I would much prefer to be able to play just the song. I also sometimes put a song on repeat, so it would be nice to have a version without commentary in that case, as well. Also, once I've heard the background, I'd prefer to be able to just play the song.
Hey Taylor: Just found your channel. I like it... To be honest, this is my fav song too. Really good performance. I also like the songs you do with Benjamin...he reminds a litte to Art, I think..:-) Please do carry on...you have a great voice. So long Boone
Enjoying the clarity of your voice, the videos don't strike me as cold, just focused but the chat works well I think. Now.... Could we talk backgrounds... Understandably you're probably in the only room you can find enough peace and quiet to record in. However, the fine aesthetic of your voice and guitar playing is in stark contrast to the mess and clutter in the background. I think it would enhance the overall feel of the videos if you could find another room/ backdrop to present from. Something that would compliment the music rather than slightly clash with it would be good. Enjoyable to hear you play, please keep sharing!
Very nice. Your voice and playing does it full justice. Thanks. Simon and Garfunkle will soon need a younger generation to carry on their beautiful songs.
Taylor I`d like to say thank YOU for your beautiful music. I`ve watched a number of your videos, and no, you don`t seem cold or distant in your others. This was a superb version of Kathy`s Song. Best wishes.
Wow you are very talented! Same I absolutely love this Song. Paul Simon has such a great song writing style that really paints a picture with his lyrics.
I have loved that song for more than 45 years, and generally dislike when anyone else has the presumption to try and sing it, but I kept an open mind and thought you were fantastic! Best cover of the song I've ever heard. Thank you!
Proud to sub after hearing your stunning lead vocal on "Baby Driver," performed in the back of the bus. I experienced Simon & Garfunkel in real time in the mid-60s and never recovered. There's a song Simon co-wrote with The Seekers' Bruce Woodley called "I Wish You Could Be Here" that was brilliantly interpreted by The Cyrkle and released as a single in January 1967. Would love to hear you and Josh and the boys have a go at that one.
Thank you so much for this beautiful song and also for the chat. I enjoyed both. However I focus on your music, it is true that the background is not in line with the quality of your performance. In any case: God bless you for your music.
One of my favourite songs. Paul Simon's songs really suit your voice. Also you're one of the warmest musicians on RU-vid, and I thought that before you mentioned coming off as cold so definitely don't worry about that! Keep doing your thing x
