I lost my wife in May due to cancer. Now I am alone with our 2 yrs old son. She loved to play her songs, I didn't know Katie Melua before. With this song we said good bye to Agnieszka at the funeral. Without her now I see how fragile the world can be. I will always love her, for ever and more. 'I cried for you' has become my bridge to Agnieszka, wherever she has gone...

Came across this quite by accident. Never heard this on the radio, never saw it on tv or in the charts and its probably the best most poignant song ive ever heard. Absolutely stunningly beautiful. Shame on you all the radio stations and tv shows that would rather have xfactor or pop idol wannabes on them instead of true amazing talent.

I lost my son suddenly on November 19 /2015. On The 17th I showed him this Vid and he asked me to share it to his Timeline. He was a big burley guy, but his heart was as soft as butter. We're playing this at his memorial on Dec 5th. Miss him. I think it's a Beautiful Song. Thank you, Katie.

One of the most beautiful songs that I’ve ever heard that gives me new understanding for a dear friend who committed suicide. He was a gifted musician that was so sensitive. I believe he has finally found true peace in a new heavenly realm. I cry every time I listen to this song and it gives me peace about his sad departure from this beautiful yet sometimes cruel world.

So very touching, Aneema. I have often heard this poignant song but I have never seen the video before. At the end, when the pieces were removed from her face, and tears started to flow from her eye, the lyrics to the song and their meaning really hit me. I lost my mother due to her being raped and she got a deadly HIV-strain. She soon died thereafter. in the same year my lover left me for someone else - I also lost my business in the same year. I ended up seeking comfort in one night stands and narcotics. I am now rehabilitated, discovered I suffer of a sever depressive disorder. Things do get better. This song is my bridge to the sad memories of my lover and I. It also brings my mother's spirit closer to heart. Inspiring song....

This video is one of the most creative and well-executed pieces of musical art I have ever seen. The returning of the person back to the original man figure was brilliant. If Katie ever gives a concert in Beijing, I'd use one of the 9 million bikes to travel to the concert. If my wife died before I, this music would be played at her funeral; and then I would literally become a "hopeless drifter." I had a good friend who died and on his funeral day, it rained all day as if the sky cried for him.

There's probably some degree of truth to this, however I saw Katie perform this live and the emotions welled up in her to such an amount that she had to play a verse on the guitar before continuing. Afterwards she apologised as tears ran down her cheeks. Quite possibly the most beautiful moment I've ever witnessed.
