"The Bold Type" star Katie Stevens is an "American Idol" alum just like Kelly. She confesses that she sang a lot of old songs on the show, and when asked to sing something "younger," she picked Kelly's song "Breakaway." This was my girl in that season. Her version of let it be was excellent and still listen to it to this day! Good to see her appear again. Hope to see much more.

I just watched Katie Steven's performance of 'Breakaway' on Idol and I thought is amazing!! Her voice sounded AMAZING!! Don't sell yourself short, Katie ❤❤❤

Was rooting for her that season! I was 8 and I remember crying when she got eliminated. Good to see her doing well now!

During so many years of American Idol there was something called the Kelly Clarkson curse. Generally contestants who had sung any Kelly's song got eliminated right after. hahahaa

Katie has literally not aged a day. I rememver the judges constantly gicing her conflicting critique the entire time she was on. So frustrating. If you havent seen it, check her out in Todrick Halls beauty and the beast parody. She sounds amazing

Kelly, I want you to know that I have a connection to you for some reason I'm 74 yrs.old and I feel like you are my granddaughter I do remember watching you on American Idol and I rooted for you and was glad to hear that you won.anyway because of that connection I feel I must tell you what I believe.I believe that saying Oh My God is the same as saying thG.D. word, I know everyone is saying it now ,and I understand that we pick up things from others so I'm not judging you but for the sake of Jesus Christ I'm askin that you try to quit or at last think about when you say it.I love all the judges on The Voice and I watch every season, I particularly like the 4 judges on this last season,John you Nick, and of course Blake.

She doesn’t really enjoy it because the song doesn’t go anywhere, but she loves to perform it because the audience always sings along really loudly with her.
