I mean, he took on Cato! And he survived a wound which should have killed him in hours, but held on, nay, he painted himself up and stayed alive for days. Peeta is as strong as his rock cakes.

He was brain washed, remember? And he was being tortured, and he knew that if Katniss knew he was being tortured, she would risk her own life to save him. Also, he joined up with the careers, again, to save Katniss. He was interfering and deterring them away from her. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but I think you missed a lot when it comes to Peeta's character. x

Well... he was only wounded because: Peeta loves Katniss = Joining Careers to stop them killing her! = Him being with Careers = Being there when Katniss is Jacked = Fighting Cato and getting leg wound = Lying in mud, dying = Appearance of a wuss. If he hadn't loved her... Wouldn't have stopped her going into bloodbath = Strong chance Katniss runs into Cato = Death Or... Doesn't team up with Careers = Katniss is Jacked up = Cato rips through trees = Later... Katniss is dead. Peeta strides on.

Your all pretty much right about Peeta. I know that Peeta was trying to protect Katniss, but if it wasn't for the rule change, and Katniss actually having the heart of gold that she does, Peeta would have been dead. I mean you know if Katniss was a lesbian and hated men, that Peeta would have been dead. Even despite that I love Peeta. But if it was another girl in there and not Katniss, I'm sorry but I don't think Peeta would have survived....
