It's been a minute since I've posted any youtube videos as I've been extremely busy, but trust me when I say, I'm always working on something. This isn't the most exciting video, but wanted to show I'm still alive. ;)
Continuing with my horribly shot, terribly narriated and poorly edited (okay, no editing, all done in one shot), here is a quick down and dirty proof of life video of a Kato N scale 106-104-LS-1 set.
For the E8: Locomotive was dismantled, frame machined to accept an 11x 17 speaker with 3d printed housing. The stock light board was replaced with an ESU LokSound V5 58941 'Kato widebody' decoder along with having the headlights split up with 1 being a dedicated headlight and the other having a seperate mars light installed. These are independantly controllable. ESU E unit sound file S0761 sound file was loaded and a few tweaks made for lighting and horns and tested.
The commuter cars all recieved Kato 11-211/212 interior lighting kits. The cab coach also recieved a Kato/Digitrax FL12 tail light decoder to control the red marker lights and headlight depending on direction of the car.
