I knew Kato had a turntable up their sleeves so did a lot of other people lol. Hey Kato no mention if the turntable is DCC friendly but knowing you guys it will be DCC friendly. Keep up the great work we N scalers love Kato to death.
I can't wait to see the production version of this item. I have been looking for a turntable for my layout for a long time and this looks like the one to have!
I am gong to have to RE-DESIGN my layout, just so I can build a yard and have one of these! How slick is that! 4 months? June-July 2014? Do I have to wait that long? LOL Thanks KatoUSA.
Received mine yesterday...excellent price and precision manufacturing. Haven't installed it yet, but was very happy all the instructions are translated into English. Thank you Kato!!
This looks like it is based off of the Tomix 1633 turn tabel. Ebay has it listed for $192 from plazajapan. Might want to compare prices and features when Kato releases their unit.
It will work without any additional modification on DCC systems. If you're talking about operating it with a DCC controller rather than the included control box, then that's a different matter and is unfortunately unlikely unless the DCC manufacturers come up with something special.
Nobody has had a chance to mess with it too much in the office since we've only got the one sample, but it should be DCC friendly. We'll have more details available as we get them.
***** We're working on translating the instruction manual into English right now and it's got measurements in it. We'll be posting the dimensions publically once the turntable is ready for announcement so that all of the necessary information is all in one place for people to find it.
