I met my gorgeous wife at a con. She was ivy and I was I think I remember doing nightmare. We had met and took photos together. Because she had awesome cosplay and she liked mine. Especially adding smoking effects and lights to mine. So we just hung out together the entire day there. And we literally just talked for hours and walked together. Posing for photos and we just clicked. And ever since then. We go to comic cons every chance we get. Even overseas.
Phenomenal. The campy acting is cute but unnecessary - the creativity these Cosplay actors bring to the table can stand on its own merit. It’s that good. Love the spirit and dedication.

Hey one thing I'll say is that I think for a lot of people they cosplay because it makes them feel like the character or what they embody. Whether that makes them feel strong, beautiful, empowered or just cool. So whatever your body type, ethnicity or whatever, cosplay because of what it makes you feel, not to impress people or compare yourself to others.
Idk if you've been to any conventions or not, but a lot of cosplay compilations tend to focus on the thin, scantily-clad, white/Asian female attendees--if you go to a con there's actually a HUGE range of body types there who cosplay and they all look amazing! don't be scared to try it! I'm a bigger girl myself and get tons of compliments whenever I cosplay.
@@ChongAhn I would do anything to just "be home", and to be fair, since i started cosplaying Cons became my 2d home. Idk how its in the US, but here in EU i dont see allot, and if i see it, i dont trust their "Covid 19 Plan" simply because i just know people wont give a shit about others their health, i mean... deoderant is for some allready a real expense, let alone Desinfection Gel.

No masks. No social distancing. No "DON'T TOUCH ANYONE!!" No "Stay indoors". No "We're sorry but the con has been canceled, see you next year!" No "We couldn't go to any cons, so we don't have any money to vend next year!". Simpler better times.....
@@ChongAhn It looks like all cons for the year have been canceled. And I'm worried...when cons start up next year, I'm scared that all the artists and dealers I like won't be there because they couldn't make any money to vend....
@@RedDragonM1 Yea it definitely sucks for those vendors that need these cons. I wish I could make more videos! Hopefully we can get this under control soon
@@ChongAhn Well, Otakon refunded the vendors renting space...I didn't know that. That's good news, they can still make it in that case. And Otakon put up a list of 84 vendors on their site a few days back and their websites.
