Harmonies at 3:15 were what I searched this video for. This is just one of the things that makes this song great, another thing being the chords. The chords are very unusual and a risk for a pop recording. And then, of course, there’s her incredible lead vocal. This song in general is much more complex and difficult than it comes across. Like most women couldn’t sing this, and most keyboardists would have to search for the chords online to figure them out.
@@mosherj666 tbh the chords themselves aren't that different (the song is mainly on Ab Major though) The chord progression on the other hand (here talking about the pre-chorus/chorus progression, which is I II VI IV), is very rare in pop music Tbh, it's rare even outside of pop music lol
