At least she doesn’t use autotune like other singers. In Unconditionally we can appreciate her ability to change vocal register and she’s a master at it. She didn’t belt e she tried to change a little bit every song to make a different version compared to the original… She did better in other performances.
@@cookie4ever184go and check out her writing credits since 2007 you stupid. Dont forget that the other artists appreciate her writing skills like Kelly Clarkson, Iggy, Britney Spears, Greg Wells, Nicki Minaj, Sia; as she has given songs to them
@@Lukereads0 sorry bro but she sounds bad here. You;re delusional if you can't accept it. Im a huge Mariah fan and will not deny when she sounds bad or even lip singing. Can't be biased
it's perfect... i don't know why people are criticizing her vocals when she's proven that she's a great vocalist and writer so many times and you're too critical on a few notes or lyrics missed... get a job guys
She did great on Roar and Firework, but it was hard to listen to Unconditionally. It's been a long time since she last sang it, which might be the reason why it was challenging for her. I don't know why, but she wasn't shining like usual too. There are many factors that contribute to a singer's performance and I hope she's ok and that she just wasn't in the mood.
I saw her last Play concert and she sounded really good! However, she didn't sound her best here lol, it wasn't terrible or great, but good enough. She probably didn't warm up enough or was super nervous.
Guys her live was not that bad. It was due to technical issues! Some staff of the award ceremony posted live clip of her performance on Tiktok and it sounds much better!
I was afraid her voice would crack given the strain . She’s sang live many times and it sounds great when she’s rested . These songs require a lot of stamina to do all the belts and she clearly felt like changing the song’s original key would save her from making an unprofessional mistake and it did but it lacked . No hate , she’ll be ok
NRO on SNL is one of her best performances vocally, and it was pretty recent, i just think she was nervous or just a not a good vocal day Also, i'm typing this as video goes, and Roar was pretty good tho
Unconditionally was rough, but she saved at 7:29 by hitting the studio note which she generally dodges and the last held note was good too. Firework was pretty good. She needs to work on releasing the air-flow, it's stuck which is why she pushes so much.
Acho que ela estava nervosa só, ela tem talento e uma voz maravilhosa, nós sabemos disso. Amo você Katy, suas músicas são um conforto pra mim há muitos anos. ❤❤❤ Tem todo o meu coração e respeito
Let me honest, her vocal is not good in the video. Not her worst but not good either. One thing that I dislike is she changed too many melodies. That makes the song weird. But overall it's not a bad performance. I'd love to give 5/10.
Honestly, she sounded great in Roar and Firework. Unconditionally was still good too. There were some technical issues since the sound kept cutting out but she did great and these songs are now all a decade old but they're still all hits.
This is not the katu Perry I know ... Maybe she caught a cold or her voice is tired from the vegas residency's last show.. I'm a huge fan for the energy she always gives but today I felt nothing and the performance wasn't a roar for me .. also she started to change the melodies of her songs and it sounded off .. I hope she evolves cause it melts my heart to see her falling ( it's the truth) I've been loving her since the beginning followed every energetic and powerful albums one of the boys teenage dream prism Witness and smile but lately like she's not getting the guide and the producers she deserves.. hoping she understands that she needs to work with other artists to top the charts again and the world enjoys her positivity and her empowerment messages.. we love you katy no matter what and the world needs you as they missed witness and smile it's their loss❤️
She ate Roar up tho, especially the falsetto note at the end, but on Firework, i think she had phlegm in her voice at some moments, which is completely normal tho
Howblong was the qause betwenn all songs? At the end of roar she had it and in firework she kinda lsot it at the start but got it again in the second vers
Как однажды мне друг сказал.... песни нужно петь, а не говорить. Песни нужно петь. в записи всё здорово и великолепно. в живую....... что происходит? бэк вокал фонограммой? а если если нет? то они лучшие!
I’ve been listening to her criticize contestants on their pitch and highs. 😳 I listened to a 2010 award show performance, and this one from last year. She needs to stop being so critical. She was off key all throughout all songs and could barely hit the highs in 2010 and 2023.
This song doesn't work like this. It needs to be sung full force, all belts just as how the studio version was recorded. The chorus sounds very limp when it's sung with softer falsetto voice.
As a listener, I did notice some parts that sounded unpleasant but overall she was shining! She looked beyond beautiful and I loved how I heard some head voice with Roar at the end. I don't think I've seen another performance with that little change. It was a bit higher. Maybe she was nervous or a tad tired, but she smiled through it all and that's what is enjoyable.
I just wish she would implement some sort of subtle pitch correction for her live performance just like Taylor and other artists do. There’s no shame in needed a little bit of support, we all know she can sing.
It's the weird flipping to falsetto when she sang Unconditionally. The vowels on that song are hard to sustain. Otherwise everything seems to sound fine.
