it’s funny to me that Katya said don’t meet your heroes and that your expectations will lead to resentment. I bumped into Katya out of drag in Melbourne and she was exactly how I expected her to be. So authentic

Katya is honestly so likeable just by purely existing

I like this interviewer. He lets Katya speak with out talking over her. Seems rare these days

"Expectations are premeditated resentments." I just went "Whoa," paused, and wrote that down.

I don’t know if it’s just me but Katya tends to underestimate herself a bit...

"So my version of nudity was a woman" - Katya Zamolodchikova, I don't know why but this sounds so transcendent

Katya is possibly the smartest queen on drag race .. such a genius

I like how the interviewer lets her speak without constant interruptions.

The kind of words she uses in such a funny and cynical way really throws you off in the sense that it masks really well just how SMART she is. She uses phrases and words that are SO interesting.

Everyone has opinions but Katya is one of those legends that I can’t imagine someone not liking

Lizzo said "if you can love me, you can love yourself"

The best thing about Katya is the “what you see is what you get” factor; she is not shady, she hides nothing, and she is who she is. And to have that level of authenticity and still be a man in a wig and dress is incredible. It is the same reason I love Bianca Del Rio.

I love how here Katya is like "I had such a normal childhood" but then anytime Trixie is around "yah I was full blown emo goth drinking blood" lmao

I found the Lizzo quote extremely powerful, more so than Rupaul's tbh. “I just want everyone to remember, if you can love me, you can love yourself. Every single day. If you can love my big, black ass at this tiny, tiny little desk, you can love yourself.” Because Rupaul says you have to love yourself before loving others and sometimes you don't know how to love yourself. Lizzo says "see? you already love someone, me, now you can do the same thing to you". Really nice quote.

I feel like subconsciously Katya is at peace with herself so she’s able to explore her darker side so authentically and openly. Love her ❤️

Katya having meaningful anecdotes but not being able to remember quotes or how to phrase details and it just spiralling into nonsense as she tries to remember is SUCH A MOOD i do this all the time and its so frustrating

Her and Miss Fame's heart to heart about sobriety was so amazing. It felt so good to get representation of that especially on tv. I'm a little over a year sober now and seeing Katya talk about her struggles with addiction and sobriety made me relate and love her so much more.

Really enjoy your interview style, Joseph. Respectful, letting her talk, asking the right questions. The only tip I'd have is maybe have a lav mic (assuming you have one on Katya) on yourself as well (edit: I now see you're also wearing a lav mic, but it sounds quite different from when you're talking compared to Katya, is that possible) and stay with that sound even when you go to the wide shots, as now the sound sometimes gets a little 'hollow' when you go to one of those wider shots :-) But overall a great interview, I really enjoyed watching it, you have new subscriber!

Her self-depreciation is such an odd thing for Americans to convey and express in public, and that's why I love Katya, she is real to the core.

Coming in late, but just finished watching Unhhhh (every episode very quickly, yikes to my life right now) and rewatched Moving Parts from a different perspective and I just want to say that Katya (and Brian) is such an introspective and insightful person while also being naturally funny, likeable, and just a person who I appreciate so much. She is one of the very few people in the spotlight who I wish I knew personally. I just can’t emphasize enough how much I appreciate this person. Also, the interviewer is really good and deserves mad props for his conversational style. I imagine it would be challenging to avoid the temptation to change subjects to get through your questions but he seemed to create a nice space for them to both be authentic and kept the conversation as organic as possible during a formal interview.
