Hey Ted! Yes - at the time it was low, but they have jumped up again. I just helped my guest at my Airbnb who is coming for Christmas to find a local person who is renting out their car. Found some as cheap as $70/day.

We were there 3 weeks ago for our wedding/honeymoon. We are fully vaccinated and got our bracelets in LAX. Got thru the airport in literally seconds. Still had to wear a mask everywhere which wasn't a big deal. We booked out package through Costco back in February so we had a car rental set. When we picked it up from Enterprise we had a selection of Mustang convertibles. Everyone was so nice to us while we were on the island! We made sure to generously tip everyone we could(car valet, room service, servers, bartenders, etc...). We were very respectful of the eco system on the island as well as the culture. We can't wait to come back to the island. It's where we want to retire if possible.

Hey Todd - I was looking the morning I filmed this video, but right after the Gov announcement of welcoming visitors back and then the following announcement of allowing international tourists back - the prices skyrocketed. It was just like the requests on my rentals - I got several requests right away. I've now had guests message me saying they can't even find cars for Dec/Christmas time. Believe it or not - your $105 at this time is actually a deal!
Love the Chanel! My great grandparents were from the same island as your father from the towns of riberia grande and Sao rogue. I know a lot of people came from the Azores to Hawaii is there much left of the Portuguese culture ?
Hey Matthew! I just read my father your comment and we were both so excited to hear you have ties to the island. I'm sure my grandparents or great grand parents probably knew your great grandparents being it's such a small island. Have you ever been? It's such a magical place and reminds me a lot of Kauai (like my father said). There are many Portuguese still on island, but I haven't met any that speak Portuguese or keep any of the traditions - only malasadas 😂 I did go to a Portuguese Day they held at the Lihue Museum and it was so cool to see and learn about the history of the Azorians that came to work on the island. I also learned that they are the ones who introduced the ukulele! There are a few Portuguese flags that wave on island and some very Portuguese last names that exist today. @@YourHostJ I have been to Sao Migel I went with my family in 2008 I loved it. People were so kind. When I visited Riberia Grande they said the Grandmother's family(Meneses) is still there. I can't wait to go back again someday. I'll be visiting Kauai with my family this December I can't wait to explore it!

Strangers will go a long way to make sure you are happy by feeding you well, drinking some wine, and sharing some laughs ❤ I haven't been in a couple of years due to Covid, but can't wait to go back either. Hey Claire! Depends where you're coming from. Were you vaccinated in the US? Are you flying domestically? If so - you just need to show proof of vaccination. If you aren't vaccinated and flying domestically - you must take a test. Starting Nov 8th (I'll be posting a video soon) we will start allowing international travel with different requirements. I had a dream about you....and a volcano...white silk robe....the lava giving all its frequency touched such a beautiful soft yellow glow that almost... when reflecting off your white silk robe ...caused it to be .....transparent? The frequency of the white silk when in the path of the frequency of the soft yellow light emitted by the lava ...both frequencies being so rare ...as all lavas are different...and all silks frequency being like a fingerprint......created a unique result.... the result was your silk robe being transparent and it flowed as if you were on a beach with the ocean breeze kind of blowing it gently.... this created an effect that could be described as almost a dimensional transition of birth....so beautiful ...nothing was revealed... just enough so the rest was ......oh....man. Are disabled senior non vaccinated people accepted as a homeless American citizens on Kauai Hawaii?...just curious, trying to stay alive looking into the future........
Oh boy - I'm not sure if you are being serious or not, but I'll respond as though you are. Hawaii has the highest rate of homeless people (switches places time to time with CA) in the nation. Over 50% are Native Hawaiian people and to be honest - there is already a problem now and I don't think they'll be welcoming more people who don't live here with open arms since there is already such a problem. Hawaii is incredibly expensive too. Where do you live now? Is it expensive as well? If you have enough money for a plane ticket - I'd suggest flying to somewhere affordable like Arizona and living off your benefits there. I assume you get some benefits being disabled and a senior? I don't know your story, but I don't think Hawaii is the best choice for you. But, just my opinion and you can make whatever choice you feel is best.
