KAVAN Swift S-1 is an officially licensed semi-scale model of the top Polish aerobatic glider Swift S-1 with a wingspan of 2400 mm. Available in two colour variants.
KAVAN Swift S-1 is made of highly durable expanded polyolefin (EPO) with thorough carbon reinforcements. It is powered by a KAVAN C3548-750 brushless motor with a KAVAN R-50SB ESC. The ailerons, rudder and elevator are controlled by a total of 4 KAVAN GO-17MG servos. To power all onboard electronics, use a LiPo quad cell with 2200-2700 mAh capacity and a load capacity of at least 30C.
In the ARF set, you will find a finished EPO foam fuselage, wing and tail surfaces with the motor, propeller, controller and four
servos installed, and an instruction manual.

Whats the average "in air" time for this model with 3s and 4s batt?
@kavanrc
@kavanrc Год назад
It heavily depends on your flying style, weather etc. It could be about 20-30 min of calm gliding. Aggressive throttle could result in 5-10 minutes.

For Kavan RC : I would also appreciate if I could download the online User Manuals of your models to explore the assembly techniques. At this price level in your new range a technical repository is a must. To be shared with the Kavan RC Team. Thks by advance

Thank you for the feedback. We are currently preparing them, so in the following days, you will be able to find the manual for each aeroplane in the "Download" section on the respective product card on kavanrc.com.

@@kavanrc Very nice. Thks for this answer to our expectings. Good point for you and your trade mark if you want to grow quickly, with your customers and your resailers. Be careful to your prices.... Kavan is not as same level as German MPX trade mark with high quality level ; but your rates are starting to come close (JPh - France)

@@kavanrc hello team Kavan. Wonderful. Yes now since Fri 14 April all your model get a download page for manual assembly. This is good point. Many thks for this. It is strongly useful for customers. Rgs. JPh (France)

Nice looking plane but it was the drone pilot who stole the show. 😊

But (my opinion) : too rock'n'roll :-) . It's a pity that the video is a tease and doesn't detail enough the aesthetic presentation, the assembly of the model, and its glider qualities. Even if its flight domain seems appropriate for acrobatics😅

Got my Kavan Swift and maidened it a few days ago. All went well, 5 mins in and on 4th attempt at a good landing, the plane tumbled to the ground landing on its back snapping the rudder clean off. The aileron clevis had pulled out. Not enough glue and the foam it was stuck to was slick. The glue they use is more a white silcone sealant. The clevis should really be glued and screwed into the ailerons and elevator. Esp for such large control surfaces and a fast paced plane. Told the hobby shop and they've sent photos of the plane. I hope Kavan back their product up and give me some good news.

@kavanrc just an update for ppl reading this.. turns out Kavan think I should've been able to spot the inferior product and checked that the glue was insufficient before MAIDEN flight.. it flew fine for 5 mins and eventually pulled out. Also Kavan think that this was a tip stall (on a glider) and the pulled out aileron control horn is a result of the crash. Btw the rudder control horn also pulled out as a result of the crash as it landed on its back snapping and decapitating the rudder off. There was no damage to to the wing what so ever. So they either say I should've noticed the lack of glue and it broke due to tip stall (pilot error). Seems like you just want to shove the blame on the customer 100% in all situations. If you can't back your products then what are we ment to do? Record every flight? Its very easy for a company to just blame pilot error everytime there's an QC issue that leads to a crash. It's stuff like that that sours the hobby. I'll never be buying a Kavan product again and I'll never recommend the product to anyone on any of the online platforms I'm part of.

@@M4rkmcc21 Well, i know it should be like this, but its like this with ALL manufacturers. For me and all rc pilots i know its completely normal to reinforce every important part on the plane with more glue or even some carbon fibre before flight. I never fly a store bought plane before doing that
@M4rkmcc21
@M4rkmcc21 4 месяца назад
@jdsd_ out of the 100s of planes iv flown.. this is the only time an Aileron control horn has pulled itself out. Only other time I had an Elevator control horn rip out and that was due to me over powering the plane with a much bigger motor and flying very fast in 20mph winds. Its not acceptable esp where they give off the idea of its better European build quality.

@markmcc21 Yeah, you are right, shouldn't happen. But I think if you've really flown 100s of planes and this never happened before you are incredibly lucky :D I know quite a few people who had problems like that.

Like the look of this but the build quality on my pulse is awful. Now has a wobbly wing after 8 flights.

Hello, this kind of deformation usually occurs after a rough hit or if the plane was left in a car under the direct sunlight for example. Please email us the details and photos of your problem at info@kavanrc.com, and we will look into it. Thank you.

Model has never had a hit of any kind 😂 wings are kept in wing bags and stored well away from sunlight. I’ll pop an email over I’ll see if I can get a video maybe I got a bad one but this is far from it’s only issue. I’ll pop it in a private email thanks for the reply

I've done more than 50 flights and I haven't had this or similar issue. You're probably not placing the back clamp properly.
