India is developing its indigenous GTRE GTX-35VS Kaveri engines, which will eventually replace American F404 engines in the Tejas and power the future Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA), a fifth-generation fighter jet. The AMCA, designed as a single-seat, twin-engine stealth aircraft, aims to achieve air supremacy, ground strikes, and electronic warfare missions. With an expected prototype rollout by 2026 and induction starting around 2030, the AMCA will feature advanced avionics, AESA radar, and stealth capabilities. The project signifies India's progress towards self-reliance in defense manufacturing, creating a robust aerospace ecosystem and enabling the development of sixth-generation technologies.

India should first develop the ethos and critical urgency like China to allocate optimum funding , manpower and infrastructure for these critical projects so that these platforms can be developed in the shortest timelines. How does China develop all these platforms very quickly ?? India should increase the allocation of Defence budget keeping in mind the current scenarios with China and Pakistan.

Someone explain to the pundits in defense ministry that we need to establish our own engine high altitude test bed facility and pour billions into engine r&d. Look at examples from ge and safran the time and money they poured into for developing an engine. Yeh stop gaps se kuch nahi hone wala. Politicians don’t understand engineering problems, what we don’t know on how to make an engine can be done by trial and error for which one needs to spend good amounts of money. Har desh ke samne beek maange jaa rahe ho, par Kya hua America ne laat mara f404 engine delivery lekar, phir bhi akal nahi aya buddhi hino. Paise karch karo jitna chahiye utna karch karo, ek baar engine banaliya tho aage jake usse hi improve karke thrust badasakte hai. Agar kal uddh hua tho zameen koyenge jawan koyenge aur izzat bhi koyenge. Agar desh hai tho sabkuch karpayenge, desh hi nahi tho kuch nahi. No sovereignty no survival. Just spend the damn money however much it takes and master the technology, baas time hi barbad hota jarahahai.

145 crore me se 2% log income tax bharenge to yahi hoga. Doosri baat, ministries me technical aadmi bahut kam h, non-technical aadmi ka vision utna broad nhi hota jitna technical aadmi ka hota h. No doubt hamari leadership strong h but kuch jyada hi soft and defensive h. Ye log 2030 bol rhe h lekin 2035 se pehle 5gen nahi aane wala, tab tak k liye SU57 hi accha option hoga (I'm not an expert but it's my opinion).

Sir, is it possible for us to attain the sanctioned strength of 42 squadrons by 2035 at the latest, as we know that this is insufficient in the event of a three-front war? The 110 kn thrust next generation engine development exists only on paper. No confirmation at all. RR or GE Aerospace or Safran. It's been going on for a decade now. MWF Mk-2 roll out pending, Tedbf prototype pending, Amca pending, Kaveri pending,...🐢🐌 Vs 🐇CCP.

India has been working on AMCA since 2016. And getting a prototype ready in 2029 is a sad story. Depending on HAL to deliver Tejas MK1A, Tjeas MK2, and AMCA is too much given its track record in delays.

When we build gen 4, advanced countries will have gen 5 or 6. similarly when we build gen 5 ,advanced countries will have gen 7 or 8, so gap will be there. And lot of ifs.

Thanks DD news for highly ambitious news --- but , as indigenous research in physics & metallurgy in Indian universities,IITs are in very very much poor shape and also since past sixty five years Indian rulling politicians were only busy in so-called " collaborations year after year" and news of "kick-back" makes us sorrow. Once, we heard India made super computer and now we see that India has no technology of chip making and so called " Indian indigenous contains 99% foreign electronic chips " also a fact that quota system in higher educations and research field keeps away many many capable young stars to join in higher education & research field . Hence, in my opinion the news of indigenous 6 th. Generation fifth/ sixth fighter jet news is only for "probaganda" and there are many loop holes in this news . India can't rise ,till reservation ends in DRDO, ISRO servics as well as in research fields required for Indian defence. However, I pray to God, for the truthful ness of this DDnews.

Till India Rollout it's AMCA With indigenous Engine, Pakistan will Have 5th Generation Fighter fleet. China Will Have 6th Generation Fighter Fleet And near to it's 7th Generation. The deficiency of Indian Fighter Squadron is a matter of Threat. 10 Years of NDA GOVERNMENT couldn't finalize the matter yet. What is going on is really Shameful and disgusting.

GTRE is very slow, also the funds they're getting is very less, AMCA will not join Indian air force in the near future, it will take at least 6-7 years to join. Also why are the editor of this video showing clips of su57 and f22 while narrator is talking about amca.

Turkiye ne 5th gen prototype bana liya aur test kar liya pak ajarbaizan ki madad se aur 200 aircraft production karne ja Raha hai. Jisme se 100 ke kareeb pak lega. Matlab Pakistan jaisi country Aisa soch rahi hai magar ham nahi soch rahe hai. Bharat ke liye sharm ki baat hai ki 2007 se 2024 ho gaya aur ab India banana shuru kiya 5th gen. Sarkar so Rahi thi 10 saal se Congress ne 2007 se 2013 tak kuchh nahi kiya . Bjp wait karti reh gayi 10 saal ki russia bana kar dega.. Ab bananaenge to 2035 -36 tak 5th gen baanegi. Aur tab tak China ke paas 250-400 5th gen aircraft ho jayenge.. Aur 6th gen bhi kareeb 200 ke kareeb rahe ge. India should start working for 6th that is must. We have just 30 squadron aircraft IAF need at least 45 squadron i.e. 285 aur craft And for becoming fully safe India need 55+ squadron. 475 air craft.. China has 3200+ air craft India has 2200 aircraft. In which China has 1700 advanced aircraft India has only 700. India should buy 8 squadron of Rafale, 4 squadron of F-35 raptor. & Russia's falon 3 squadron Which is need of the hour

Its remarkable that Indian govt still thinks the US is going to supply engines for AMCA and Tejas Mk2. US is trying its best to delay and derail both the projects and yet India is not building its flying test bed for Kaveri and still not declaring fighter jet engine as a strategic project under PMO. Wake up India, wake up. do not depend on the US for your defence needs. Kaveri may be in infant stages but let a Tejas variant fly with Kaveri, test it and then improvise on it.

lol 😂 that engine is under development for 50 yrs now and most of Defense PSU’s are decades behind their deadlines on projects, highly overpriced and no results yet!! Until govt bring in private sector and make these Defence departments compete against them for tenders nothing will change

Govt should immediate try forming a consortium with ADA, IAF, Foreign Partners and indian commercial industry to fastrack AMCA...reporting directly to PMO. This is the only way to get this project done by 2040....HAL/ADA ye sab aise hi tehlaate rahengey...these DPSUs are just leaches who wants to have job guarantee till 2050
