Great video and hopefully you might be able to help me with my issue. I was in the process of taking the battery out and before I could detach the battery terminals it slipped and made contact with the frame of the bike. I heard an electrical distortion as if a fuse had blown but all fuses are good and it appears the relays are ok too. Now when I turn the ignition to on the light switch doesn't work or the push start button won't work either and the fan immediately comes on but the fuel pump doesnt. Also the FI is flashing codes 11, 12, and 14 which have nothing to do with my issue. I also tried bridging the solenoid to see if it would start. It will turn over but not crank. After unplugging the Fuel Pump relay I ran a jumper wire from the input directly to the positive battery terminal to see if the pump would run and it turned on instantly. Another interesting discovery was that it also restored power back to my electric headlights and push-start button was working again but the bike still won't start. It sounds like it wants to start but just simply continues to turn over. If you know the reason or could pinpoint what the issue is feel free to share thanks. It's appears the power works in a reverse method. Power from the positive battery terminal to the fuel pump relay terminal allows the push start button and headlight switch to begin functioning again and without that jumper wire I've got nothing.😳

Hey J.Squire, it sounds like you should start isolating some components to see where it may have “shorted out” and damaged one of your components. If I’m understanding you correctly and it’s cranking but not starting it’s either not getting fuel or spark. I would start by removing the spark plug and checking for spark while it’s cranking. If it doesn’t then it’s likely either the start/stop switch components or the ignition coil If you do have spark then pour a small amount of fuel into the cylinder and it should start that way, meaning it’s a fuel delivery problem and should start checking the fuel system I hope this helps and let me know what you find

@@EverythingEngines9955 Ok I'll try that I'm just hoping it's not the ECU because I just purchased one and now I have two and both appear to be useless right now if they are damaged but I'm hoping they are not.🙏 The other issue is I don't understand why I'm receiving power backwards from the fuel pump relay bypass first to the push start button last but it won't work the other way. You'd think that would narrow down the list of possibilities as to what is going on here but I'll keep digging to see what else I can discover.👍😎👌

@@J.Crooner for sure! ECU issues are not fun! How much did you get one for?

@@EverythingEngines9955 I was able to get an ECU along with the MSD Charge for $440 bucks. I just hope they are good and not defective considering they are used goods. If you know of a way for me to be able to verify and check to see if they are functioning correctly that information would be vital that way I won't have to get burned on the deal I can at least get my money back through the bank of course. 🙏

Update: I took my two ecu's to a friend's house and tested them on his bike to confirm if they worked and thankfully they both were good along with the MSD CHARGE FI. He gave me his extra wiring harness to use on my bike. The next day I finally took all the plastics off my bike and started with replacing the entire wire harness first one plug at a time starting from the rear to front and that did the trick. Everything is back to normal as it should be and the electrical nightmare is officially over.👍😎👌

Where would you start on an 06 750 BF. The issue is only the neutral light illuminates when you turn the key on. No other lights come on with it.

That also sounds like a possible ground issue or possibly the screen has failed and may require replacement. I would start by checking both the ground locations shown in the video ( make sure they have a clean rust free connection and tight). Let me know how it goes!

My actuator has been replaced, and it appears to not get any power. I have tried two different actuators. Do you have any suggestions? ATV runs fine there’s no flashing lights when I switch from to a drive to four-wheel-drive. Nothing happens, and when you turn the ATV off the actuator makes no noise. Any suggestions?

Hey, you are probably right about it not getting power if nothing happens when you press the switch. I would follow the wires from the actuator and the switch and test for 12V power at the connectors that you can unclip. I would suspect the switch may be faulty also. Take apart the switch and clean the electrical contacts with WD-40 or similar. Let me know how it goes
