Awesome review from a viewer in 🇺🇸! It is basically the same bike as the KTM Duke 390. Honestly I prefer the Kawasaki / Bajaj design over KTM but there are no Bajaj dealers and Kawasaki doesn’t sell this bike in the USA.
Just sharing some info on Dominar 400 for my friends out there in phillippines. I commute 60 kms a day and have clocked a milage of 5600 km on my Bajaj Dominar 400 UG. City milage is 32 - 36 kmpl depending upon the driving style. If driven hard it returns a milage of 23 - 25kmpl. If ride properly while keeping the rpm between 3000 - 3500 and shifting the gears at the right moment the bike has returned a milage of 43 kmpl in slow moving traffic at a pace of 47 km/h. On highways at speeds between 100 - 120 kmph, the bike returns an average of 28 kmpl. However at stop and go traffic the weight can be felt. once it hits 15km/h its manageable. After that the bikes does feel heavy but is easily manageable. when stationary once the bikes flip to 85°, the bike being heavy, its a struggle once again to bring the bike to 90° position. If you are below 5'8" would suggest to take a test ride and especially try to handle the bike when stationary before finalizing on the bike. Conclusion: Excellent bike to own and ride if you can handle it's weight.
Nice bro!, May I know your Dominar bike has already have BS6 engine? I think the Dominar that was release in the Philippines don't have that one yet. Based on your fuel Consumption per kmpl, I can say that your Dominar bike is already BS6 emission standard
@@howlongyouwillplayvictimcard Thanks bro, I'm hoping that Kawasaki Philippines would release the BS6 version because 36 kmpl for a 400cc bike is sick!!!
Nice information and thank so much for doing this in English. My wife and I own a condo right beside the NLEx in San Fernando that we'll be moving to for good this October so I think a bike like this would be just about perfect as long as at 6 feet tall I wouldn't feel too big for it. The seats look like they'd be comfortable for both the owner and passenger in 2 up riding. After the older Suzuki Katana 1100 I just sold this would feel nice and light, and the gas mileage would be amazing.
I'm also a Burgman 125 user planning to transition to Dominar in the future. Good to know that it isn't really that hard to adapt especially with the huge weight gap of the bikes.
Thanks, Bro. I'm so happy and convinced about your reviews and opinions because I'm planning to get one soon. It's my first time driving a higher cc. To be honest, I don't have experience driving a motorcycle with a clutch, so good luck to me😅 drive safe.
Actually I'm happy to see two good things, The review video you made is awesome, means the way you explained everything well enough. And i love the bike too👍 Dominar 400 ug❤
So far this is the best dominar 400 ug review iv watched! iv been roaming around youtube vloggers that are reviewing the said bike as i am looking forward to have my first big bike now... Thanks for a very quality vlog 👍
This channel is tech focused and this is a great review. It even enticed me to buy this motorcycle from my current scooter. Hopefully, you'll be reviewing more motorcycles in the future with this type of quality.
@@mystique_2k874 thank you my man! Now I have 2 monsters the Bandit 1200 and the Yamaha RoadStar 1700, it's time to have a cute one hahaha! Blessings dude!!
i know nothing about bikes pero this video was a delight and very easy to understand and follow!! congrats on the purchase cholo!! ingat sa road always!
There is no partnership between bajaj & kawasaki in the recent times....So basically it shouldn't be called as Kawasaki Bajaj.... it's only bajaj,...& it's only Indian now
im an nmax v2.1 owner and im planning to buy this as my first big bike. I love its features, look, and the price! I hope the UG v2 will release by end of the year or first quarter of 2024.
Just some points.. An Inverted Fork or Upside Down Fork IS a Telescopic Fork wherein a tube slides up and down another tube to absorb bumps. I think what you where trying to say was the Inverted Fork on the UG is better than the Conventional Telescopic Fork on the earlier model. Also the engine is similar to the KTM 390 Duke as it was derived from that, but it is not the exact same. For example, the 390 Duke engine does not use 3 spark plugs.
I just saw this brand and bike for the first time this week in Thailand. It's basically the Duke 390 minus the TFT and an incredible value. My concerns are reliability and service and parts availability. I'm not so much worried about resale value as I tend to keep my things for a long time, and the bike is plenty big for SE Asia. I'd really appreciate seeing future updates..
This Kawasaki Bajaj brand is far more reliable than the KTM, here in the Philippines you can see a lot of repo of ktm. Plus the ktm have a very expensive maintenance cost especially if you had some busted parts same as the Husqavarna.
@@PCWCFAit is a very reliable bike. You will just need to do the regular maintenance like every other motorcycle for a very healthy life and feel of the ride. That just adds life and keeps the performance top notch. Engine is very reliable and refined so dont worry about its break down.
Rusi got a 400cc cafe type priced at 270k which is a big👎, if I have the budget I'll go dominar400, fell in love with it first time I saw one riding.....
For all the Non Indian viewers curious about the details of the dominar 400 This bike was designed to enter the Indian 350 cc+ market which had a lot of competition from Royal Enfield. The Dominar was also known as the Enfield killer in it's segment because even in their official launch trailer (which is available on RU-vid btw) Bajaj showed the Royal Enfield bikes as elephants which is kind of true due to their sluggish acceleration and low maneuverability on off road conditions and sharp bends. The Dominar 400 boasts of a higher power displacement and advanced abs features which were not seen in by Indian Motorcycle manufacturers. The bike riding posture is very comfortable even though it may seem a bit aggressive in the videos shown. The service that Bajaj gives in India is unmatched in terms of parts and other maintenance issues , which can be fixed almost anywhere in India as Bajaj has an extensive service center chain all over the country. I own a 2018 Dominar 400 (BLACK) And the only issues i face is 1. The engine overheating when driving in heavily congested areas with slow moving traffic. 2. The rear brakes could be improved but the bike also weighs almost 170 kgs with accessories attached so i guess they're doing their best 😂. Hope this cleared some doubts before buying this beast 👊🏻
Good video. Bajaj India is the largest manufacturers and sellers of motorcycle in world. In India this is being sold as Dominar 400 from Bajaj. I think in some countries Kawasaki has tied up with Bajaj. ie being sold as Kawasaki Dominar. I have white since 2017. Added 3 inch fork raisers + 2 inch handle raisers. It's a mean and beautiful machine. Planning Leh trip in September.
Legittt! Purchased last week, July 12 and got the OR/CR today exactly 1week..they have a nice staff..napabili din kami dahil sa ganda ng review..we really love our new big bike….named it “Inang” since si Mang Domeng or Domo na pangalan nya sa iba 🙂
Actually it's Bajaj ( KTM ) Dominar 400 Not Kawasaki ... Kawasaki has nothing to do with Dominar Development Except Assembling this Bike ... The Heart of Dominar was Actually Build By KTM...Same Engine Used in KTM Duke 390 RC 390
Hey man I got this Feb this year. Really loving It 5k km in. Only complaint would be the breaking. I feel this is way too fast for how it breaks. Other than that, the myths of vibrations and all, don't really seem that prominent. Be on top of the rusting black screws and bolts. Use a tooth brush and some WD 40 regularly bro. Welcome to the club. Side note my first big bike too, I was on a 110 honda wave before this hahaha
We're more or less the same in the moto upgrade road! I agree w the vibrations, hence why I didn't feel the need to include it here. Good point too with the breaking! I'll take note of this when I'm on higher speeds more often. Much thanks!
I'm 5'7 in height and nag aalala ako if abot ko ba yung seat height ni dominar and thanks to your video i have the answer now.. hoping to have my own "vengeance" soon.. Thank you sir
Sir can I ask if this bike is short rider friendly? I'm 5'3 and planning to buy this bike. But I'm hesitant because of my height. What do you think sir?
It may be a problem for you in traffic because of weight and you will have to stabilize the weight using a single leg and if you can handle it then go for it 🙂👍
🏍🚶♀️5'2 user here 💯manageable just do install custom made ✔️Lowering kit & wear boots with ✔️high sole mine is 2.5" customed made c/o Stiched Sole then if possible & budget permits have the tires replaced with ✔️low profile type set of tires then have the seats thick foam/cushon ✔️trimmed lessen foam 😊
