The trusty 'Sherpa' 250cc 4 stroke has been a reliable bike to many farmer here in New Zealand, working day in, day out around the farm.
This machine however has had an easier life than most, sold to the domestic market and used only for the odd trip to work and recreational rides...
It's been stood for over a year, unused and neglected. Finally it's thrown in the towel and refuses to fire up. Maintenance has been on a 'needs must' basis rather than any kind of schedule.
So, it was dragged down to my workshop for diagnosis, sure, it cranks over on the electric start but there's no signs of life, not even a single 'phuttt' from the single cylinder engine. Time to take a look...I have a gut feeling a new Series is about to be born!
