The number one thing that changed which McNabb won’t say is Andy finally got an exceptional QB. Andy made McNabb look so much better than he actually was but it wasn’t enough. Number two is Andy isn’t coach and GM in KC like he was in Philly.

ITS THE QUARTERBACK!!! Reid didn’t get it in Philly because all his QBs were just guys, none of them were special. You have be incredibly lucky for a Dilfer, Johnson, Flacco, Foles to not fuck up and lose you a game. Jimmy G and Purdy ARE NOT SPECIAL! In ‘19 he missed Sanders WIDE OPEN to ice the game. He played solid up to that point. Probably better than most expected. But when you had to have it on ONE play Mahomes converted 3rd and 15 under heavy pressure. Jimmy couldn’t hit a wide open guy under pressure… Purdy was super solid in the SB! In OT, he was a weak hold away from not even getting the drive off the ground. Then he missed a blitz pick up on McDuffie and they had to settle for 3. Shanahan has always believed his system is more important than who’s running it! Every time it’s really mattered his system couldn’t save him from the average QB he had running it….

Andy has Mahomes and Shanahan doesn't (Although he could have had brady but decided to stick with Jimmy G Nobody to blame but himself for that.). Purdy has been really good but let's face it, he ain't Mahomes. Reid right now with Mahomes is like Belichick with Brady. Sure, great coaches. But they aren't what gets their teams over the top.

Lol. Once they start allowing the 49ers to hold Chris Jones the way the Chiefs hold Bosa, the outcome changes. Or maybe if they dont manipulate the practice facilities. Or maybe if the 49ers play a game where they don't lose their top defensive playmaker, lose the guard opposite jones, miss an extra point, and have the first fumble in 350 carries by CMC. Or maybe it's just two games that were really close and not enough data to draw any conclusion. Take your pick, but none of that spells bad coaching.
