Love how Kay has brought so much more attention to the Bengals... and she was talking about them before other people were. For Cincinnati, she's Queen Kay
Kay is right. Justin Jefferson needs to force his way to Cincy. He would much rather play with Burrow as his QB than whatever the Vikings will have. It's just a matter of making the money work. But Burrow is on record saying that him and the Bengals made sure everything was in place for them to pay the WRs when he signed his deal. And Ja'mar is on record saying he isn't a selfish player and would even take a pay cut to make it happen. So it's more possible than people think.
Kay Adams is our Bengals hero. They need to fix the O line and D line all the way that would really make them unstoppable I think. The interior of the line got pushed around and bullied way too much last year. I’m happy with the right tackle they signed but there’s still a lot of work to do and they can’t keep settling for suspect players as starters.
If they want to improve the offensive line. They need to take university of Oregon center Jackson Powers Johnson,at 18.Slide ted Karras, over to left guard. That puts Cordell Volson,on the bench, and gives you 5 good linemen.
As a Bengals fan i hope they get something for Tee. Like DeSean at the end says, I'd LOVE them to trade Tee during the draft. We can't affored all 3 (Burrow, Chase, Higgins). Been telling the local sports talk out here in Cincy that for 2 years and they aren't objective. Justin Jefferson coming to Cincy would be amazing lol
Nah. Look at Bates’ contract. Looks like a value now after he was def one of the top safeties in the league last year. Tee deserves the bag but the Bengals can’t give it to him so the only thing to do is have him play under tag or trade him. I’m with Kay though, trade Tee to the Vikings for JJ
@@shawnosullivan5764 Jefferson is just not a reasonable match. I’d love it, as a Bengals fan, if it could happen without hamstringing the rest of the team. But that’s the thing- it would hamstring the team. The main question around whether to extend Tee or not is “do we really want to tie up about 40% of our cap for three players (Joe, Chase & Tee)?” I’m not a salary cap expert so I don’t know if it’d actually be 40% and what year(s) that would be the case but that’s what’s been said in local media. If we’re having those questions about Tee, that cap % would be even higher with Joe, Chase & JJ. Might be close to 50% (again idk specifically), because JJ is clearly the better WR. Hell, he’s better than Chase right now too, many would argue. It’s just not feasible if you don’t want the rest of your team to be a bunch of C tier players. And that puts more stress on the team to hit on nearly every single draft pick, which just doesn’t happen. Tl;dr- if they can’t afford Tee, they certainly can’t afford Jefferson. We can revisit this in about 7 or 8 years, when JJ and Chase’s values maybe aren’t as high and/or they’ve gotten their paydays and wouldn’t mind taking paycuts to reunite.
i completely agree about their agent. Tee does need that bag for just who he is, a trade for JJ does sound perfect but if were to even happen and we're willing to pay JJ then why not pay Tee...
@@shawnosullivan5764keep in mind Tee is coming off a down year with injuries too. Bengals want to keep him but if he’s trying to break the bank i wouldn’t pay him either. There’s been some great wr prospects and Bengals always grab good wrs so it would suck to lose Tee but youd expect the Bengals to immediately address that position because they’re a pass first team. Dont be surprised if they grab a wr early this year
@@willandrews8087because JJ has put up far better numbers than Tee and he’s just better 😂 how is this even a question? Also Qb play is worse and when he got hurt he came back and put up good numbers plus to add on to that he had more yards than Tee in less games 🤦🏾♂️
Kay we love you in Who Dey Nation.... We feel the same about DJ Reader in our house ... We are excited about our off season ...Change is hard but the road to Louisiana is the goal !! We need to either to get that LSU reunion somehow too ... maybe next year when he goes to free agency ... I see Joe and Chase negotiating to get JJ or to keep Tee .
Agree.Higgins is not going to sit out the 2024 season. That is more money, than he has made in his first four years, combined. What is he gong to do,work as a bag boy at a grocery store for $16 an hour? No.
The franchise tag exceeds Higgins' average yearly value. The franchise tag is perfectly fair. If it was unjust, teams would give up what it takes to get them.
Agree.I would not have franchise tagged him.He isn't worth $24 million a year.Let him leave, and use the money on some other wr,who can actually stay on the field.
Kay Adam's your insight on the Bengals is on point and Tee is one of my favorite players. I believe the Bengals offered a deal like three year 75 million with 50 million guaranteed. I'm saying this because I believe as long as Tee plays to his caliber this year then we will franchise him again next year because we value him. So that's 48 mill guaranteed over two years. Tee is a 1b not 1a and he deserves 25 mill a year. The problem is his agent. I guarantee that's he's trying to get Tee 30 mill a year and to be honest he's not worth that. Once teams find out that's what Tees asking price is they will not be interested. Maybe once Tees asking price comes down the Bengals get a deal done with him. Regardless the Bengals will get a 3rd round comp pick for him after he walks so why not get two years at what we value him at. 48 mill over 2 years and get a 3rd rather then trading him for an unproven draft pick. It just makes sence. I truly believe it would have to be like a Jags 17th overall pick and a round 3 for the Bengals to even pick up the phone.
Can we quit saying players are victims playing for "only 20+million" for a year? Every player has this possibility and as we can all see, it has much to do with the agents. The agent messed up because if he really wanted to get the bag, he would have already demanded a trade last year and he'd be in a better situation to get paid. Now "poor Tee" has to get paid three times as much as he's made his entire career to date, playing for a super bowl on a team that has a chance and with a QB who makes you look good AND across from a top 5 WR partner 😂😅 After this year, teams will realise that just because rookies project "well" it isn't easy to catch lightening in a bottle....he will have more of a market next off-season. He's just gotta stay in the field and not keep getting injured and contribute....ie do your job and earn your money 🤷♂️
Sad Reader is gone too but he's older (for football) and coming off 2 maaaajor injuries (both quads). So I can understand the Bengals not getting too crazy money wise for him. Still need a nose tackle though.
Agree.I would like Newton from Illinois,or Jackson Powers Johnson, the Oregon center,in the first round. They could then move Karras to left guard, and put Volson,on the bench, where he belongs.
Sign Higgins!! If your gonna beat the Ravens and Chiefs, you will.need Higgins! This guy gets all 50/50 balls! Big physical receiver that is a nightmare for db's!! He was hurtnlast yr, but is a 1000 yd guy his first two years. Bengals need him! Dont fool yourself! !!
@@snave59 so how is that two totally different things genius the NFL is sports. Most of ESPN talk is about football cause the NFL pulls in more viewers than any other sport by far.
Mixon is an old, slow washed up rb.He was going to be cut. Then some stupid team, offered a draft pick, for him,and the Bengals took the deal.@@geraldmalott7814
Doubt it.Bengals don't let players bully them.Several have tried.Corey Dillion Carson Palmer,Carl Pickens. The only one who succeeded was Palmer, and they still got a number 1 pick, for him.
Bengals are doing everything right and are now once again being overlooked by some of the more famous commentators. That's fine. When the Bengals win 12 games this year I hope they all remember and eat crow. Higgins has an unrealistically greedy agent. Higgins also wants to prove he is a number 1. However, where ever he goes his numbers will be down becuase he will be the one who is double-teamed and his new QB will not be as good as Burrow. Burrow and Chase have made Tee. Tee has also made Chase in many ways.
What do they do with Battle? He goes on the bench. He was only a 4th round pick.So he is not costing them much,to be the top back up safety, off the bench.Always need depth.
@@snave59 the guy is good why bench him. your stoping his growth and he wasn't the problem is was britt that was the problem and they fixed it with stone
Y eah, dude's a dick for no reason other than money, and he destroys the reputations of the players that he represents, their connections with the teams they play for, and the fans especially!!!!! I REALLY hope Tee tells him ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!! We ALL get that he NNEEDS TO BE PAID, but damn, don't make it TOO hard to negotiate!!!!
