Whitewater kayak tune up video of the Pyranha Burn 3. I had a nosepiece that needed re-glued and a seat adjusted, so we cover a few aspects of the kayak and how to outfit your kayak.
Adhesive of choice when gluing anything to plastic is contact cement.
Plastic cleaner is super plastic clean aerosol cleaner.

I like your idea for the thigh brace foam. I find there's too much room between the hull and the brace no matter where I move them. One thing I found was a must was moving the back band up. Wade Harrison has a good video on how to do it and makes it much more comfortable. Thanks for the video. 👍🏼

Thanks! I built them a long time ago for my blue Burn and I put them in every boat I paddle now. I am not sure why someone doesn't make something standard like that for every boat. I was finding my feet were falling asleep without them. Helps keep engaged and relax them if you need too. Thanks for the info on the thigh foam. I will definitely be doing that. Here’s the link to the back band relocation video I was telling you about before. Good day, I’m currently looking to get a burn original (gen1) used but like new. I notice there has been some major upgrades to the burn in its 3rd generation. Currently holding on to a large code that hasn’t seen water other than pool time for me . Thinking I might want something a little more playful (edges) than the code. Seeing you have run thru one burn and now on to another I feel you have a good feel for them. Beginning/intermediate fast learning 2season kayaker. 220lb 5’11” 11shoe. Will I have to outfit it to fit properly…etc. Any thoughts and advice is much appreciated. Thanks 🙏🏻

Hi Darin, I wanted to research the Dagger Code before giving you an opinion, thus I have and here it is! The Dagger Code has a planning hull design which in the world of boating, is a bit "edgier" than the displacement hull designs of older Pyranha Shiva and Dagger Nomad-esq style boats. You can still rock edges and catch eddies in displacement hulls, planning you kind of snap right into place. That said, the Burn MK1 has a planning hull design as the Dagger Code offers the same design. Boats are always evolving as people continue to push different limits. I would say, how does the Dagger Code do out on the river? It may be just a fine boat to get started out in and learn a bit faster as it is edgy. I have never paddled the code though, I have been in a Dagger mamba, nomad; LL remix; Pyranha Burn mk3; Also outfitting on Pyranha's older boats can be a challenge compared to that pretty Dagger stuff! Maybe paddle the code a bit out on some rivers and see how they handle. If you want something edgier after you learn a bit more maybe a bigger playboat would be your next natural progression. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the research and quick response. I actually will hold onto the code and start of this season with it but I’m actually picking up a like new Burn 3 xl tomorrow. So I’ll get to play in both and go from there.
