Awesome man, looks like a good time. Very similar terrain to where I'm at on the east coast of Canada! Seeing your camp set up would be a cool addition to any videos you do in the future.

Thanks Doctor Gonzo! kayak camping is always a good time! I did paddle the entire mississippi in 2019 took 62 days. in that series i showed the campsites several times along the way. ep. 21 @12:00 i do a detailed setup if you are interested. I am doing another trip this summer and will incorporate several requests people have made. thanks for watching! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZkAkf2Qps1g.html

@@escapewithjay 62 day!? You're a champ. That's quite impressive. It's a wonderful hobby. I alternate between biking and kayaking, although I've never done any prolonged trip like that. I will check out some of your other videos when I have time. Good luck!

I'm wondering what kind of kayak is that. Looks like pelican but not too sure which model.

It is a pelican, the 10 ft model cheap one. I believe they have since updated it a bit. i use this little kayak anytime I want to hit shallow water as it takes a beating and floats in almost nothing! Model is the trail blazer 100. doesnt have much for storage so i would look for something bigger if you wanted to camp out of it

@@escapewithjay I'm camping with perception sound 10.5. perfect yak with plenty of storage room to secure my gear. I always had a respect for such big box store kayaks like lifetime or pelican. They're nearly bomb proof with decent handling characteristics. Not sundolphin. Those are complete trash lol. I asked about your pelican because it somehow looked bigger than 10 feet and it got my attention

Good video thanks for sharing Q: why did you portage at the dam, not tunable?
@escapewithjay
@escapewithjay 5 лет назад
I assume you mean "runable" ? You can go down it if you want to, helpful if you have a heavy boat/load. This kayak is small, light and empty so it was eaiser to carry it around. Thanks for watching!
