Tough losing part of the Family Tree!! Those critters are bigger than our Blues....Rite now we're soaking traps for Stone Crabs and with this species we only take the claws....We had quite a seafood fest here last night with Lobster, Stone Crab Claws, Blue Crabs, Mullet dip, Shrimp and Slabs of Wahoo and Mahi....Hope you had a great Tourkey Day!!

Very sorry for you loss. We have had 2 on our office that git Covid. One passed and one survived. They are in rehab for 3 months trying to learn to walk after 39 days on a vent. The aren't sure if the will be able to walk again. Covid is just crazy. Be Blessed! Stay safe!

It's a terrible virus. It's a long process of rehab and physical therapy after being on the ventilator for a long time. I hope he/she recovers. Stay safe.

Loved the video. Sorry for your loss. I've got a crab pot that is like your but it lays flat on the ground when it hits. My grandpa went into the hospital tonight for heart related issues we think so far. Wish him luck for me. Thanks for the video. It's helped me keep my mind busy just like it did yours. You should get a cheap extension cord winder for your rope. Itll help keep your line organized, and take up alot of slack. Home depot sells them for like less than $2 and its located in the extwnsion cord aisle.

I know what you are referring to. I used them once before but they are too bulky for me. Traps don't stack nicely with them inside.

I was out at Half Moon bay this last Tuesday & Wednesday. It was too windy for my Kayak. I tried crabbing off the Jetty, but the wind kept blowing my line into the rocks. Lost a snare on first cast & snaged my line on my second pole right away. I tried from Dunes Beach, but the current kept sending my snare immediately down shore. No crabes for me on this trip, but I still had a blast trying. Love Half Moon Bay

Cool video. Well done. I’m so sorry about your uncle. My condolences. 😞 We dropped 6 pots in HMB last Saturday by boat. The 4 we dropped about 2-3 miles out got 27 keeper dungies. The 2 traps only mile out from shore got 3-4 red rocks and one yellow rock crab. No dungies. Seems this year the dungies are being found farther out. We would have had more but our second pull in the afternoon was obviously poached. The jerks. Scumbags! We did catch two lingcods (27” and 28”) and a boat-mate got a 22” one and a really nice Cabezon. Got a few keeper blue rock fish too. Congrats on the new kayak! Can’t wait to see some new videos with it!

I'm so sorry for your loss, MooMoo. Just curious, how do you keep your hands warm when they get cold? I went surf fishing early morning recently, and my hand were freezing and I couldn't work them properly. And here you are, bare hands, in icy cold water lol

Keeping your body warm helps a lot. When I'm pedaling or paddling I get warm and cold water doesn't bother me much but when I'm just sitting and doing nothing (like when I'm sturgeon fishing), my hands get very cold. I wear 3mm neoprene gloves (diver gloves) when they get cold and it helps a lot.
