Thanks for the video. As a soon to be new kayaker this takes a lot of anxiety out of planning a trip to a place I'm unfamiliar with. More videos like this please!
Hi Davey! Thanks for the Marina overview..Does this marina have a boat wash down station? I just moved to SoCal and store my 14' CC in my apartment garage. Would be convenient to rinse the engine and clean up my boat after fishing. Thumbs up and new sub! TK
Hi TK- thank you for watching and the sub. I really appreciate the support. I honestly don’t know if they have a wash down station at this ramp. I really haven’t paid much attention. My guess is that it does, but not positive. I don’t know of any local ramps that do not have a wash down. I guess I have to pay more attention next time I head down there.
Hi Davey, if I wanted to pay to launch from either here or Daveys ramp can I park there without a trailer? I’m launching a solo skiff from the back of a pickup so the closer I can get the better. I’ve never gone to either of these ramps fearing I’d get a ticket for parking without a trailer. Thanks!
Great question. You should be fine. This is also where a person who is launching a boat will have their non-launching guests park. Kayakers who roof launch use it as well.
There are a couple, but they are all very close to this same spot. If you are driving down Edinger towards Sunset Aquatics, you will come to a little Y in the road. This will take you towards the park. On the left will be the park and on the right will be the channel. You can launch from the sand at the park. You can also launch in the mud in the channel. It really depends on where you want to fish. These two launches are only maybe 100-200 yards apart, but a good 20 minute paddle between the two as you have to go out and around. Other than that, you can launch down by OEX off of PCH.
