I had an amazing opportunity to be bale to borrow a kayak and get out away from people on the jetties and get lost in the marsh and it did not disappoint!!
It's great that you always look to the positive outlook position! Life throws a lot of curve balls at us, we just have to maintain our composure and FISH ON!
What a day. Loved the drone footage. A couple of years ago, I unsuccessfully stalked a massive black drum there, literally following it around in the trails. Like the red you described, it seemed to have no cares and dropped out of sight and back into sight enough for me to spot it and try again. I tried dead shrimp, gulp shrimp, and fish bites. If it could've laughed at me, I'm sure it did; it certainly didn't want what I offered. I was in a 10' kayak, and it was about half the length of it. It would've been fun to hook into it.
Great fishing trip, well except for your truck issues. Great that the towing company allowed you to park there for the night. Thanks for sharing your experience for that day. Keeping it 💯 and 👍 up bro
Sorry about the truck , I know how frustrating it can be . If you need a place to park it , I live about 8minutes from where you are and my wife and I would be more than happy to accommodate. On a happier note , excellent content as always . The light house trails are a great spot for daytime redfish and trout adventures. 👍
a local told me that when you string up fish and are heading back to the parking area, to pull your stringer up into the kayak because porpoise in the channel will snag your fish on your stringer and could be trouble for you
Go check out the Aquos Pontoon / catamaran . You can put a 6 hour trolling motor and battery and you can stand on them … they are same price as kayaks but more comfortable …
Love the drone footage. Your a awesome young man with a great attitude on life and the love of the outdoors and just keep it going and good thing are coming your way. Just a thought you should pick a time every week and live stream i just would love to here your thoughts on outdoors and life
Welcome to Corpus where our roads are sub-par and the fishing is great. I’m a nurse here as well. Been in the area for 11 years. Not sure how long your contract is but if you need some pointers let me know, also have a solo down here
@@KagenFishing there is quite a few of us that run solos, yaks and bigger boats. The port a jetties are stacked with reds right now. If you go to fisherman’s warf they have a boat that will take you to the north jetty for like 10 bucks. Way less people and better fishing.
I see you took my advice for Lighthouse Lakes... ;) It’s a great spot for kayak fishing, I was there two weekends ago. We’ve got a trailer (we don’t live there) in Lamar over by Rockport on the water, you’d have to go kayak fishing with us, it’s a very marshy area (St. Charles Bay) We’ve always had great luck.
It's deep enough that the city's new ordinance was passed to prevent boats with motors bigger than 15 horsepower from going out there. Depth varies, as does what is there. If your boat is an inflatable, be mindful of oyster reefs and rocks.
I have been working in corpus for COVID response the past couple months. I should have a video to post in a couple weeks when I finally get a break. Thanks for watching I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
@@KagenFishing At least you're working in an area with some amazing fishing, could be worse! teal season was fantastic, when you're back in the area I can show you how it's done!
gsppuffer Yah but it was also the level kit that was put on it a long time ago. It threw off the geometry of the upper control arms over flexing the ball joints causing them to fail. I have a surprise for you guys in the next video so stay tuned!
