I took the day off work to rive down and explore the Piankatank River on my kayak to search for speckled trout and puppy drum. I have always heard good things about this river and wanted to see it for myself. I had high hopes, but as the day went on, it quickly became apparent that I was going to be dealing with cownose rays all over the place. I did manage to find a few striped bass and explored some really cool areas of the river. The rays were just overwhelming and I think they messed up the bite where I was fishing.
