right now around all the banks there's a little bit of weeds and if you know where the lily pads are, all of that is just the stems and lots of weeds close to the bottom, the west end of the lake where the bowl is is pretty much all scum on bottom other than the sand bar that comes from the point. throwing a jerk bait on docks we had some pike but just yesterday a guy caught a 4lb and a 5lb bass on a krackin kraw out in the deep water, hope this helps.

My best friend lives on Bark, I've been fishing it since 7th grade! Unfortunately the last few seasons the Lilly pads and weeds are insanely bad.. if you were looking to work your way along the shoreline. Top-waters only in that case; even though my hula popper has even gotten hooked in the weeds..... This used to be an incredible lake to fish, monsters everywhere! ....and then they made it public.... The fishing hasn't been a fraction as good as it used to be, and the monster fish are few and far between.

Logan Wehrhahn three years ago i came out on the lake for the first time ever and just throwing a mepps around with no idea where to fish i caught 8 pike and 4 bass in two hours and most of the pike were upper 20 low 30inchers, last year i fished it a lot and caught some decent fish but the size has definitely gone down, clearly there’s less of a fish population now but hopefully it’s going to come back!
