With strong S/SW winds and high swell on many of the coastlines around Anglesey we headed to the Northern coastline to keep protected from it as much as possible. A lovely one way journey from Point Lynas to Ceylon Bay was just what was needed. Starting from a beautiful bay near Point Lynas we headed east to start with to get the tips of the kayak around the point to see what the flow was like. We spotted porpoises out in the flow and I don't think I have seen so many as we did on this trip - perhaps it was the same ones just following us in the flow.
After Bull Bay we got out into the flow and stayed in it, rather than rock hopping the way to the Brickworks. It was like being on a Travelator in an airport - little effort and we are travelling along fast.
We had caught some time up and went back to rock hopping, and keeping out of the wind when we got to Cemaes.
