At 1:18 onwards the rescuer is making the mistake of having both hands on the far side of the other kayak cockpit. For more stability, hands should be on near and far sides.

Kudos for wanting to provide useful safety tips, but if you're going to do it, make sure the info is up to date. Even for 2017, having the person being rescued push down at the stern while the rescuer pulls up on a still capsized boat is woefully "old school," and not in the cool, retro way, but rather in the "haven't seen that since 2004" sort of way - mostly because it's a very hard way to do the rescue, but also because it flies in the face of the person-boat-gear philosophy of completing a rescue (i.e., if you let go of the boat and the victim is at the stern, you've lost the person, which is kind of important). I really, truly hope your coaches don't teach the rescue this way in practice.

Everything in the kayaking world is so much easier and safer if people would just learn how to roll a kayak.
