The kayak doesn’t have much resistance, I just face into the current and watch my line to keep it vertical

Hobie outback. I do look at the wind say it’s a west wind at 20 mph which are big waves I would use land masses to get out. With a kayak you can get out about anywhere and and anytime. But the ideal safe wind would be no more than 15 mph. A south wind you can fish anywhere
