Thanks for sharing this great video and the info on the put-in and takeout. My wife and I have sit in Lifetime Kayaks without skirts, we have done great some rapids on the Potomac, but not great falls or anything big. Also, never at great water heights. Normally we hope not to tip over, (Although, we acknowledge that risk). and know that our kayaks will take on a lot of water here and there). We are new to the area and miss our old haunts. So if the water is low, (Below 4ft), we are thinking of attempting this as a potentially fun jaunt. Anyone, feel free to let us know if you have any advice or warnings of caution? Thanks 🙂
Hey, have you tried Pony Pasture? Upstream of this section might be a better entry for you, to get your feet wet! This section does offer some great learning potential and if you are able to fully control your boat, then consider it for sure. You will need to be able to eddy hop comfortably.
