(05/18/2024) Kayaking North Prong Lewis Fork as well as the Purlear Creek Slides. It was nice to paddle a run that I haven’t really been on since the early days of my boating. It was also nice to finally run the slides of Purlear Creek. I’ve been eyeing this sequence for a long time. Happy to finally get it.
Regarding Purlear Creek, it is really tiny and takes tons of water to even get going. 3” of rain fell over the area over the course of a few hours earlier in the afternoon. In terms of me reaching the slides, I paddled down North Prong Lewis Fork to the confluence of Purlear Creek and then hiked up Purlear to run them.
