Kayaking Through the Dawson Forest - River Park to Kellys Bridge on the Etowah River.
This was a fun little stretch of river to paddle. I did not fish a whole lot, as my goal on this trip was just to make sure that the river is passable without porting. It is.

sweet. I'll be solo kayaking around there as soon as it's hot enough to get wet. Paddling up that river will surely have me getting out and trying to make it over some of those lil rapiddy areas lol.

This is a great spot to go when it gets hot. There's plenty of shade and swimming opportunities.

Me and a couple friends are going on an overnight kayak camping trip in a couple weeks, and we are putting in at the same place, and camping near Kelly bridge. And ending our trip at eagles beak. Thank you for giving me a preview of the trip. I'm fairly new to kayaking, and didn't know how the river was.

Wife and I did a short trip on the Etowah last weekend! We started at Euharlee outfitters and paid for their shuttle service back. I’m about to drive 8 hours to pick up a maverick 120 in Florida this weekend (crazy I know but with the stock issues I’m desperate)! Will be planning to attend an event with GFK!
