I love the variety of outdoor activities you post. Your channel isn't just about you hiking a trail day after day after day...... Thanks for your time and effort to bring us along!
I grew up south of there. So many folks have died in FLs spring cave systems over the years… just viewing your shot of looking down into that hole gave me the creeps. There’s one in Crystal River that’s claimed so many divers the state installed bars at its entrance. Your vids bring back my time exploring the same places in the 1970s & 80s. It’s so beautiful. You’re an interesting guide & I’m enjoying your videos. Onward!
From a European here: Digestives are referring to (as you might have have understood) actual digestion of the stomach. It was made in the UK long ago to help aid digestion as they are packed with fibre. Since then they have been made with chocolate too, as yours. A little less healthy, but really good :) 👋
This is my local river. I’ve watched many videos on the Chaz…this is the best I’ve found. Excellent representation, great job!! You’re video highlights the beauty of the area!!! Thank you.
Wow! I didn't know you were from Arkansas. Have you hiked the Ouachita Trail yet?!? I came down from New York state and we hiked it in 2021. It had the best constructed shelters of any trail I've ever been on. And the trail was very well maintained! 223 miles. You got to do it!
Ok, now it makes sense…when you said”Good morning everybody!”, I’m like , “that sounds like Kelly and Cody from DomeLife.”. Ok wait, you’re from Arkansas, they’re from Arkansas!😊. Didn’t you do a collab with them? I think you had their T-shirt on or something. Arkansas people seem like good vibes people!❤
What a great time! Love you amazing content. Thank you for showing that our wonderful state is so much more than amusement parks. The beauty here is amazing. God bless. ❤
Thanks. Great video. These are things I would do, as this is only a couple of hours from where I live. I cracked up when you said you ate 1.25 pounds of shrimp😂
Love your excitement when you're exploring someplace new!! You remind me of a little kid when they see something amazing for the first time. I agree with you about diving in the springs, no way in hell!! Great video, really enjoyed all sites and the animals. Thanks for bringing us along.
A little too cavalier and some disregards to the dangers, even on the Chaz. People die every year in the springs of Florida. Usually tourists who do not heed the dangers. Also have to watch out for alligators, rattle snakes and water moccasins of which there are plenty. As you get to alittle deeper water there are lots of alligators, blacktip sharks and bull sharks. It was a nice film. Stay safe
Another great video... I am so excited to visit this location. Later this fall I am heading to New Port Richey, FL to see my dad. Woo hoo this place is not too far away. LOOKING FOR OTHER SUGGESTIONS on great things to do near Tampa, FL as well. Thanks!!
Chazz is my favorite kayaking because it's old florida, I live 10min so frequent it a lot. There are spots no one gets to because its such a long paddle.
I love those central Florida springs! I went scuba diving at KP Hole park and love it more than diving in salt water. The springs are Florida's secret gems.
I am with you on the not swimming through the caves, i am claustrophobic also and just watching your friend do it gave me anxiety. But what an awesome trip.
Very nice video! Thank you for sharing. I have been here my whole life and have not gone to the spring area of the river. Guess I need to put it on my bucket list for sure now.
That's so cool! I went to a lot of Grateful Dead Shows when Jerry was alive. Also, I love your videos because they are all about being out in nature!@@kellyhays23
Extra nice video as always! ❤ That's quite interesting about the area. I've only been to Florida once and didn't really care for it but then again I love Pennsylvania and the mountains. 😅 Thanks for sharing!
Great video Kelly!! Your best yet. Im so glad you're back in Florida. Love the springs so much, and that tiki bar was so cool. Keep up the good work!!😎
I grew up going to the Homosassa River for spring break. Back then, Homosassa Springs was a privately owned attraction, not a state park. There are a number of rivers in FL you can canoe camp on. I've done that on the Blackwater and Coldwater Rivers near Penasacola, and on the Ecofina River near Panama City: I enjoyed the 3 day trip on the Blackwater River the best.
Great video, as usual! Im so amazed at all the springs in that state! I love how you always find the animals, dog at dog park, dog at restaurant..lol. looked like a great couple of days 👍
Proper pronunciation.....Chas...a...whitz.....ka. You are in my back yard. Its even clearer in the off season....October thru March. The beauty is the springs stay the same temperature year round.
great adventure and video . perfect timing as i was watching news that was nothing short of depressing . this and your adventures are a welcome get away for me . Keep Em Coming
You are so beautiful Kelly ! A heart breaker. You are the "thing" every man dream of when time has come to sleep. Close your eyes, tell me what you see. I want a girl like Kelly. How awesome she is. And thanks for sharing your great tours. Watching you from France, once the boyfriend of a Heather from Iowa. Si tu viens en France, ne rate pas la Bretagne (my home), et poses ton kayak dans les gorges du Verdon. Avec tout mon amour.
Hi Kelly, I recently discovered your channel and have been going back and watching your Alaska, kayaking and Pinhoti vids. Enjoying them so much. Very cool to see a young person living the life they've determined best for them. I love to hike, bike, and kayak. After teaching school for 35 years, I recently retired, bought a camper van and am hiking, biking, and kayaking across our beautiful country. Anyway, you are an inspiration....even to us old codgers! Keep on hiking!
We pronounce it ‘chess o whiskey’ Check this out. Modern hippos are descended from an extinct ancestor called Anthracotheriidae. They looked similar but had smaller heads and longer, skinny legs. They were common in Africa, Europe and some even made it to North America. So, looks like your new hippo friend in Florida might actually be in his prehistoric, ancestral homeland! 🎉
So nice you stayed in touch with Sammy! The kayak trip was just magical. The drone footage was sweet! This was a great episode Kelly, the time flew too quickly. Take care ✌️
Can't tell you how many times I've been there. Fun times in the heat of the summer. Did you visit Crystal River And Kings Bay there's about a half dozen springs around the bay and you'll probably see manatees. The wiki watchey River is a paradise and you can swim with the manatees. And you can see baby's also
How to check the tides ? You just get a Casio water watch like mine with a time setting feature (makes it accurate to a 10th of a second) and has a way to look at the tides, a graph showing low and high and in between. Casio G-Shock MB-6 7900 B-1 water resistant to 660 feet although they claim it isn't a scuba watch. I'm a white water kayaker and need a well protected watch with a good night light. Its called an atomic water watch but nothing nuclear inside. Was only $100 and has a charger for the battery that is in it so I am really happy with it.
I was going to tell you to check out Reds in Dunnellon for breakfast before hitting to river. You went past where we put in/take out where SR 484 and the river. Was also going to send you to Stumpknockers for dinner .
The Freezer! Oh man, I’ve had some good times there! I’m assuming this video was pre-Idalia? It’s probably pretty tore up thru there now. Love my Sunshine State!
First time to the channel. I was enjoying the video thinking ya I could watch more of this content. Then you get to the end and say "Really would be great to bring kids if you're into that kinda like having kids thing" Yep now I'm subscribed! LOL
Somehow I've missed this video.. I didnt know you went to my spot! The place is a blast. I like to kayak out to that abandoned house on that lone island. Its a ways down there though.
