Why am I just jamming this version?December 2020-O wrong nau...mo slow gan o. Ain't nothing wrong with this clapback, keeping us all informed that what's law for the geese is permissible for the gander. Such a sweet vibe.... Gbayi!!
honestly. Listening to this made me see the flaws in the original. I love being made to re-think something. The major difference is that they're not starting from the same place (in hers, she's clearly been cheated on already; in his, it's not the case). Someone could write a version that keeps the admonition to keep your family w/o pretending that one gender is the root of all the problem (specifically that "adelebo" line, definitely is harsh on women when it's the culture that largely allowed their men to discard them like that).
lol wow, this reply is like obe ata in the middle of tomato shortage. Many marriages are dying on the wickedness of men and the cultural cover we get (whereas women are told to 'keep the marriage together'/'think of the children' etc.), so all in all I honestly can't be mad at this. Plus who knows her life story or that of someone close to her and how that may have made her take the original song in a bad way. Musically, she sounds great too. More grease to her.
