For sure. I recommend next watching "How playing an instrument benefits your brain - Anita Collins ". I cannot imagine what happens in Kayhan's mind when he plays, especially considering he improvises a lot as well, and still comes out masterpiece playing filled with emotion and energy

Funny you should mention. Once I read an article on the difference between visual art, like paintings, etc., and books or music. Paintings are taken in all at once. You get the entire thing all at once. You can go back later & reexamine various parts, but overall the entire statement is made in one blow, as opposed to other art forms, which, as you mention, have to be taken in in linear fashion. Before that I hadn't really considered the difference.

Never too late. Never too far. I’ve always wanted to go to Iran and I love the music. So at the age of 40, I bought a Kamanche online from Sala Muzik and started learning by myself, by just practising and watching RU-vid videos. Good luck!
